maybe this idea is to childish for a poker site:

That gold members can use smileys in the chat. ( I was a gold member on another site, and it’s easy to express yourself with smileys)

It would be fun to use some emotions in the chatbox. Not too much, only 4 or 5.
Im thinking of…hi, ty, fun, bye and sad.

Just so I understand. Do you mean:

a) when you type, for example, “:)” in the chat box, it changes it to a smiley face, or b) there are little icons next to the chat box, that you can press and it automatically enters the icon in the chat box?

Also what sort of emoticon would you use for hi, ty and bye? Normally emoticons are used to express an emotion, like happy, sad and angry. Were you think of shortcut buttons that instead of having to type in “hi”, “ty”, “nh” etc it automatically appears in the chat when you press the button?

I mean b:) … .just a few icons. Its for players who dont want or dont can chat. And it is only in one language, so, very easy to understand for everyone.

For me its oke too when you click on the icon for bye you see in the chatbox bye instead of that icon.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. Perhaps players can suggest their favorite emoticons/smileys and common words…

I would make it simple first, you can work on it more later , need to see if users like it or use it at all. (happy)

  • this would be ease to see and fit on the chatbox side, dont need drop down menu, ( soo the game wont slow down)

I had a thought to help us typing impaired, if Replay provided buttons with polite responses to hands at a tables, especially with the advent of turbo tables.

Thanks nonotme, I’ve merged this into the current topic to make it easier to see in one place. I like your suggestion marcipan and there would be just enough room for those. Any other suggestions for buttons?
