Can I suggest maybe changing the color of the text 
to send a message to a friend , has happened a few times by myself or by a friend trying to message me that we hit Remove Friend by accident … oops

That’s tough to recover from, too, isn’t it? I concur, having done it once or twice myself.
Yea , I had a person mention on my league page that he was interested in joining the league , I replied there that I would send him a friend request , which I did and he accepted . I then go to message him details about the league and hit remove friend instead …GRRRRRRRRRRRR , he has no other friends so it’s not like I can ask someone to message him about my error . I sent him a new friend request and will now wait for him to accept.

Actually, they should add a confirm popup to the unfriend process. Click unfriend, it pops up and says, “Are you sure you want to unfriend this member?” That popup should have “yes, unfriend” and “cancel” buttons.

Or they could have a popup that asks, “Are you sure you want to do that?” If you click yes, it would open another popup that says, “You seem too upset to make rational decisions, come back in an hour and try again.”
Then, once the hour has passed, if you hit unfriend, another dialog box would pop up and say, “Unfriending someone is the kind of drama that causes emotional trauma. Get a good night’s sleep and we can talk about this tomorrow.”
If you tried the next day, it could say, “Wow, you really hold a grudge, don’t you? I have taken the liberty of scheduling you for anger management classes. These will meet 3 times a week for the next 2 months. We can talk about it more when you provide the number from the certificate of completion.”
Then, when you do finish the class, if you still want to unfriend them, it would popup and say, “Sorry, I don’t talk to sociopaths! Have a nice day and stop calling me!”
That way, you couldn’t accidentally unfriend someone.
Or I guess you could just read the labels on the existing buttons.

I wish the whole process you outline above could also be the process used whenever someone’s just about to send an email that was written by extra emphatic tapping of the keys! lol

If Sharon is going to charge a connection fee for deletions, I think it is only fair you should get a similar fee for sending friend request messages

Keep it simple , friend no one. That way when you want to delete your account you only need to deal with replay’s delay.
2 friends not a gather off hundreds n simple is a 2 3 suited.
I would also like to suggest making chat font a darker blue or bold font , this would help to read chat easier.
