Was pleased to see at least two of the days had a “best 7” format but, as usual, the general format was, yet again, heavily slanted to those players who stay at home and can play 24 hours a day.
The “play 8 multi table tournaments in one day idea” is ridiculous. Firstly it is unhealthy but also it is impossible to get anywhere decent in the prize structure because of, for example, work and or family commitments.
The ring game points system is even worse and needs to be changed. A skilful player has zero chance of getting anywhere especially if they have commitments. First they divide any profit by the BB and then divide it again by 5??? There is NO point sitting there actually trying to play poker when some players, the usual “faces” are sitting there for hours on end - not actually playing poker - sitting at four or five tables at once and just pressing check or fold each time.,and they are racking up the points hand by hand.
