So I had a royal flush and still ended up with a split pot, totally forgot about this hand.

Replay Slits pots with inferior hands all the time.
What’s the point of poker if one hand doesn’t CLEARLY beat the other?
The Royal was on the board of course you split. Neither hole cards played. You actually got lucky since if the Royal didnt hit the board the villain had a flush and you only had a straight.
However, I love the villain’s 100 chip min bet on the river.
