I just got through playing in a tournament where one particular player went all-in on each and every hand. It didn’t matter what he had, he just kept going all-in. When he lost, he would just keep doubling the rebuy, and non, and on, and on. When a tournament offers rebuys, there should be a limit put on the number of rebuys allowed. Players like this ruin the game for all of the other players. You either have to leave the game, or risk losing all of your chips to someone who obviously has a lot of chips to burn.
It’s sickening Doc !
I agree. Ridiculous! If I posted my unedited view on this topic, then I would be banned from RP for life!
Rebuy: Unlimited rebuys for the first 24 minutes
Add-on: 1 add-on available during the rebuy break
Status: Announced
Limits may vary per game, it is always a good idea to check the rules before entering. This is Bankroll Builder B&R.
That’s the price for playing at a site that offers free chips.
Letting people like that rebuy constantly isn’t a Bankroll Builder, it’s a Bankroll Buster!
It doesn’t have to be.
Dont play that tourny!! Problome solved!!
What great advice! How would you know in advance that you were going to be playing against such an idiot?
If I remember correctly, that game was a 500 buy in, with 1500 chips on a 315 chip rebuy, gotta know there are gonna be some risk takers in there, so the odds of being on the table with one of them are pretty strong.
rebuy tournaments is just that. its for players who like go all in every hand no matter what until rebuy period is over.
I see wild players like this as a chip making opportunity and adjust my ranges of what I will bet against them if it appears they are overvaluing their hands. in extreme cases like the one you mention it can be really satisfying to bust them and take their chips. When you land a good hand with them, just limp call and then hope they go all in with their usual hyginks. then call and watch the chips flow your way…
it will not work everytime of course, but it is definitely fun when it does!
why would you enter a 500 chip rebuy and not expect players to take advantage of the rules. you get to see how many of the
“pros” spend every game “lying.” what’s the difference… you call bluffing smart play, try using the rebuy period before the 1st break to see what they got as part of your smart play
For me, it’s not a matter of the Rebuy itself, it’s the large number of Rebuys allowed. Do you really enjoy playing against some who goes all in each and every time, no matter what’s in their hand?
Good advice Nevr. All that you can do is adjust your range as to what to bet against them. But it doesn’t make for an enjoyable game.
i’m ok knowing that it ends at the first break. good luck on the tables
It is what it is on this site. Bingo city every day and night in here. I wish there was a limit as to how many times you can push all in during a tourney, but it hasn’t happened yet. Maybe a max of 3-5 would be good.
Absolutely agree…It has to STOP
Normaly tthis type will get fed up after a while, I just leave the table
