Replay partnering with Casino.org

FYI for those having trouble redeeming chips and tickets.

I just got accepted using Microsoft Edge. When I was trying using Chrome, I was unable to redeem them.

I hope this helps.

With everything in life change happens, for the good, or possibly for bad. The one thing I know is you have to try them to make an educated decision.
Have faith in the Replay team!

I don’t know if I’m as optimistic as @mrzick, as I don’t really “have faith” in anyone but my close friends and family

But one thing is for sure: the change is happening. It’s not as if they are going to reverse this decision because lots of people clutched pearls in the forum. So let’s wait and see what happens and hope for the best, as for now, this is all we can do.

This strategic decision of Replay at first glance, looks like it will provide more exposure for new Replay members. Also & I could be wrong I did not see any free online games offered at Casino.org. that Replay offers. If this is indeed the case it will help both company’s. As mentioned, Replay will continue to receive revenue as it is. However, I do believe the current members should know how Casino receives it’s revenue’s. Also do they have their own server farm or another, that is reliable.

@Litenin @fizzymint

Wait, there are no free games going to be offered?

I live in an area which doesn’t currently allow on-line play for money.

Did you register at the other site and browsed around?

I think what @Litenin was saying is that casino.org doesn’t currently offer any free games, so there will be no overlap. I don’t think they were implying the Replay will no longer be offering free games.

Based on the official statements so far, this is not a merger, it’s just Replay changing domains/hosts. It should really not make any more difference than if they’d switched from an AWS platform to Azure (Amazon’s web service vs Microsoft’s).

The domain name will be changing, and it looks like both parties obviously want to use this change for cross promotion (which I have mixed feelings about), but provided what they’ve said so far is true, the only difference anyone should notice is in your browsers address bar.

(That’s not true for anyone who can’t access casino.org because they’re underage or in a country that blocks access to that site though. Those people will be losing all access to Replay as I understand it)

Agree & as I said at a glance, I see a win/win for both partners. I also thank @fizzymint for explaining Replays revenues will remain the same (miss the tip jar though). I believe truly in transparency and think we should know where our new partner’s revenue comes from, which I think, will help us all know Replay will always be a free poker site.

I believe this is why Replay has partnered with Casino. Just a guess but that would help that business as well to have another product to promote.

I have just few more questions @fizzymint
I live in Washington state in the USA our state does not allow online gambling for real money.
Will this new site be blocked like all the other pay to play sites?
When I looked at the casino.org site my state was on the not available list. I may have been looking in the wrong place.
Will there be a special log in for states that don’t allow these sites?

4 years ago I played on 2 other sites. The German law changed, poker is now allowed here, but it is all not easy, there is much more behind. Both sites kicked German players out. I have the software of one of the sites on computer, can there log in, but (playmoney) playing is in my region not allowed. The other site deleted my account and I can not make a new. Dutch players had the same problems, I’m sure french players too,… I can see Casino.org looks to the laws too.
13 year old players are not more allowed too. If I look to the playing on ring tables, then I’m sure the most of the players on Replay have this age.
Some of my friends are not allowed on Casino.org.
We can give our seats to the many new players.
A better site for new players.
Can be this is my last post here. Bye.

I’m not sure the quality of the new players attracted to a poker site on casino.org will match the players we lose. Replay is an environment that’s worlds apart from any other site I’ve played on, and I have doubts that anyone who finds Replay through a casino review website is going to approach the game or the community with the same interest. Time will tell I guess.

Where did you get that list from? I believe those are the states that don’t allow sweepstakes play, which shouldn’t apply to Replay (even though you can buy chips, you can’t ever win anything of monetary value)*

*Not a lawyer, and it’s possible casino.org could block WA despite Replay being legal just out of an abundance of caution. Best wait for an official reply on this one, but I think it’s very likely you have nothing to worry about.

Poki, if you don’t get in, Replay will be losing a star. I think this is sad a big disappointment to a lot of Replays long time players. But of coarse everything is about money.

I haven’t seen the question addresses as to our contact info…credit card info and such?
I must say i get an uneasy feeling about this merge. It reminds me a bit of my old site “PKR.COM” they merged and before you knew were consumed by the larger company and later went bellyup. That is how i ended up HERE!

I can now understand why the Replay blog was the last 2.5 month death, and why the announced changes

came the last 2 month not. I waited and looked for it.
Replay had other things to do.

I got that list from one of the games on Casino.org, for one of their games, it was just a point to open the conversation about states in the US that block these sites, and if Replay is going to have some way to bypass the list of blocked sites,

The more I read about it, the more complicated it gets, so I will just wait and see what Replay makes for us and if it doesn’t work for my state, then I will catch up on some yard work and go fishing

To early to tell how this will end up. I know this is not technically a merger, but in general, these type of things tend to make the experience worse not better. I’ll hold out hope but if things start to change drastically I’m out.

I was just saying the same thing thats how i ended up here also. Not a good feeling but hoping for the best.

I am always skeptical of a change where a percentage of their loyal following will lose access to a community that they have been a part of for several years. I would have hoped that the issues which prevents access to the new site would have been worked out prior to rolling out the change. This is not a good way to start off.

I’ve added responses to a couple more questions – and some others (such as whether we’re continuing to offer free poker) have already been answered. Take a look over the full FAQ.
