It would be interesting to add a few rank-based bounty tournaments.
Set a base knockout bounty, let’s say 10,000 chips. When you knock a player out, you would get this amount minus that player’s rank.
So if you knock out a player ranked at 1,000, you would earn a 9,000 chip bounty.
If you knock out a player ranked at 10,000 or more, no bounty for you!
The higher ranked players would more or less have targets on their backs, which would make the game a little harder for them. It would kinda sorta even things out a bit, and be a lot of fun.
well i dont think it would make the high ranked players harder for them, dont think they are caring about that when playing, but i do think it sounds fun and a good thought or idea for the tech team to work on, GL with that tho lol, i think they are busy working on other improvement but u never know
I don’t think it’s a good idea because there are already ranks and leaderboards and SnG leaderboards and I don’t need anyone to tell me how I play because I play everything and I speak for everyone and on behalf of everyone when I say that everyone is like me and I made my millions playing all formats and tournaments and I have a video about a donkey that I will give 5 stars to, and I will think of every possible diversion from your suggestion to oppose it, because it’s not a suggestion but a popularity contest and a miss bikini pageant and nobody likes it because I said so and look at the posts and look at the ranks and look at the sky and count the stars because the SnG leaderboards and the chip count are everything that matters. du bist wirklich verrucht was du hat gesprochen. oh i thought this was the foreign language for um for a second. its actually the difference of someone posting a rediculouse idea that would never work or get approved by any players and a person posting that cant handle people responding in opinions against their idea and post. Almost everyone said it was a bad idea and wouldnt work, what else more do u want? more negative opinions that u cant accept or handle and deal with. get over it
oh by the way that wasnt a response to u or this post guru. by the way they already have knockout sitngos and bounty MTT tourneys that give u that 10,000 chip example, its just far all ranked players tho.
Negative opinions and people not liking the idea, I can handle and I welcome dearly. It’s the rudeness and impoliteness and childishness of some people that I can’t tolerate. Anyone can politely say they liked an idea, and can politely say they didn’t. It takes real effort though to be rude and offensive, and to respond to a video of a duck that keeps changing the subject, with a video of a donkey just to be offensive. I suggest you go watch more donkey videos maybe you can learn something

The way I could see it: Everyone pays the same entry + fee, say 5,000 +500 but the percentage taken from the entry for Bounty could be different.
if player A is ranked higher / better than Player B Player A pays 4,000 entry (to the prize pool) and has a 1,000 Bounty, Player B might pay 4,200 to the prize pool and has a 800 Bounty. This way higher ranked players are not directly penalised but the reward for eliminating them is better.
Not likely to be introduced just yet, but it is a concept which players might like.
There are Knockout tournaments online where the Bounty of a player gets bigger and bigger as they knock more players out. Do you think that might be a way to do it?
For example, all players start with a 1,000 Bounty. When you knock someone out, you get 500 and your Bounty goes up by 500 to 1,500. when someone knocks you out, they get 750 and their Bounty goes up by 750. The winner gets to keep their own accumulated Bounty.
Masybe you could bracket the player ranks, and base the bounty on the bracket. For example, knocking out a top 1000 player would pay more than a top 5000 player.
As far as funding it from the buyins… well, you already have “value added” tournies where the house adds something to the prize pool, so add something to these. This type of tournament wouldn’t replace the existing ones, so there doesn’t have to be a lot of them.
Real life bounty hunters get paid more for catching more dangerous people. That’s the basic idea behind the suggestion.
