I’m sorry if you found my " Contrarian view" post offensive to you. I really have no issues with you calling me names as your way of expressing your feelings. The thing that makes me sad is when you refer to the new or newer players as “fleas” because of their lack of knowledge or skills at poker. Seems like they want to have fun too and nobody knows how to handle them as a player or unable to deal with them in how they are playing cards. I’d like you and everyone to know this is the very out-loud attitude that is hindering many from asking any kind of questions. Even the stupid or silly ones. If you’ll think back to when you first started to learn. Hopefully you didn’t have to endear what some have here, or some of the things i went through in the early years. I really did get one upside the head if I made a stupid play, bet, or call in front of my father playing with his poker friends.

I believe after you get past this anger part I can seriously help you or anyone who’s ready to deal with these pet peeves,aggravations, and issues. Believe me I understand you’re seeing me as the “instructor” type from your groupings, and yes, I am guilty of that sometimes. It’s the one thing that I’ve found more rewarding than any of my own success at the tables, that’s helping others and than get that Christmas kinda joy watching them on their journey doing better. Occasionally I’ll get an email from one of them about some student they are working with or a funny story of some kind. For me at this stage in life, it would be easy to adopt each and everyone of you and help you anyway I can. I’m sorry I’m that way, but I’m very confident based on my results and those of others over the years …
Oh yea, also my ability to give YOU one upside the head if you need it … JUST KIDDING ! ! !

I have no idea what you are referring to. If it is the description of the Railbird, it was not directed at you, regardless of your handle. Railbirds are real in casinos but are kept at a distance where their conversations don’t interfere with anyone’s game. Online, if rail talk is allowed, this particular online pest can be a verbal bully. That’s what the thread was asking about, the poker pests encountered online…

The term “flea” again was not directed at anyone. The very first post referenced that term and I thought of these poker pests as “fleas on a dog.” (Harley57). Check it out, please. An irritant to those playing the game. My list is not to be inferred as insulting but to highlight the many kinds of players that you will meet, live or online.

As to “anger issues,” that is directed solely at this site’s RNG. I’ve said enough on what concerns me on that and this isn’t the thread to rehash it. This thread was suppose to be a means of identifying the various types of online players. Giving a generic name to these people was all I did. If you honestly think there is more behind my comments, you have either read more into it than intended or I haven’t communicated my views clearly. The first is on you, the second is my responsibility.

Let me know via PM if you still fell there is an “insult” in these postings.

WOW !! well said both of you cool people rail-bird, and cairndestop, when I started this thread, poker pests, had to compare it to something when I seen my cat scratching aahhh, fleas !! thats where the the word fleas came from,I know I said a dog, and I have two cats, but dog sounded more tough !!! LOL !!
