Player Shadowing

Hi Players. I don’t even know where to start with this topic and would not have believed it if I had not seen it myself. I know it sounds crazy, but it surprised me too. There were 9 of us at the table. Cards dealt and we started playing. I watch all the players to see how they bet and for what hand and so on. I lost 10 hands in a row before I noticed what the player next to me was doing. Whatever I bet, that player bet. When I folded, that player folded. If I raised, that player raised. Neither of us were winning pots, but the player did not seem to care. This went on for every hand until I decided to sit out to see what that player did. I sat out for 3 hands, as did that player. I guess when he finally realized I wasn’t playing, that player left the table. I was frustrated, but I don’t know if I should have said something or not This is not something that I have ever come across before and hope to never come across again. It might have just been done to aggravate me. I don’t know. The question is, what would you have done if it happened to you and is it my place to have said something to that player?

I don’t know about saying anything to him/her but that was pretty creative on their part. I LOL just picturing it. And, both of you sitting out the 3 hands is pretty good. I hope you made a note of the player’s handle.

I’m tempted to send you a Friend request so I can send you a PM to know who it was so I can see if they do it on a regular basis.

Can you give us hand numbers?

If you believe there is an issue, please gather all of the information that you can and send it in to the support team. They will investigate it, and give you a report.

I wouldn’t recommend saying anything to the player that followed your moves. Although personally, I probably would in a funny casually way. But if you suspect some type of pot building/collusion is going on, report the player with all needed info & contact a moderator, who can check on the activity immediately. And support@replaypoker.com does a great job investigating possible issues, as well as the moderators.

Yes I agree with Litenin on this matter I would have said and done
the same thing.

Hi Pilot704, it doesn’t seem abusive or reportable to me, just strange.
You have a magnetic personality, maybe they are a fan!

Did they re-raise you or did they just call your bet/raise. If the latter, they were probably trying to gauge your play by staying in every hand that you were in to the river to see your hole cards and make notes. It would cost them some chips but if they play you often the info might be worth it.

I’ve never had a report answered here in the 7.5 years I’ve played here. Always ignored.

Hi Coolkatdaddy,

You should always receive an acknowledgement of your submission to support usually by email.

if you are reporting a problem you had with the site or a game it has been my experience that the support team will work with you until the issue is resolved.

If you report another player for some infraction, other than acknowledgement of the report, you will not be informed by Replay of the outcome of the report. That is between Replay and the reported player.

I am sorry you have had a different experience.

Cheers!

I want to thank all of you for your information relative to the above topic. I learn from every experience that I have on Replay Poker, as I am sure all players do. I wish that I had written down the information about the player or the hands played. Unfortunately, after checking my notes, I find that I did not document the incident. The error was mine and I apologize for that. It will not happen again. Again, thank you all for your responses. See you on the tables.

I know that from previous incidents that I turned over to RP. I was never given the outcome. I do trust the support team’s handling of every matter that I sent to them. Your are right Litenin, they are the best.

I don’t mean to sound snarky — I genuinely don’t understand what the perceived issue is here. It doesn’t sound like the player you are describing was doing anything wrong?

My heart jumps a few beats whenever krista is at my table, I get nervous and sweaty because she is so pretty and I can’t concentrate, I certainly DO NOT want her investigated!
