We did that about 2 yrs after we moved into restored 1953 home, dug a spot for new plants and saw the white large pieces in the dirt. Immediately stopped and found another spot and it still took 2 yrs to see the original plants growing. Very good advice! TY

Today is October 20th 2023, 2 straight weeks of frost in New England and my rose bushes still have dozens of buds and blooms.

Roses until Christmas :+1:t2: what a growing system I have !

Global warming! And a bit of love and tenderness from Mother Earth :earth_americas:

Don’t think your roses are still growing due to so called global warming, LOL. However the key word you mentioned is Love

I wasn’t addressing you. Yes, it is global warming and a certain alcohol I use in the soil to remain anonymous always.

Don’t know who you were addressing but I sure wish you would help us all to the secret alcohol we could use to improve the soil. I hope we are here to help each other improve our gardening experiences :+1:

NOPE !

I already shared my Rose growing tips for all here. Professional Rose growers don’t share all their family secrets on prize roses :rose: if you’re interested in Rose competition join the community.

I believe it is the poinsettia time of season. Does anyone grow them ? Beautiful Flowers they are.

You can, if you live in a frost-free climate. In tropical areas, the poinsettia plant becomes a woody perennial that can grow up to 10 feet tall. Plant them in full sun, and keep the soil consistently moist.

I can’t grow them in New England but wish I could.

Thanks Craig, guess you aren’t growing them. Does anyone actually grow the Poinsettias ?
