Celebrating the day dedicated to love and friendship–
Let’s start with animals!
When I was 16, was the first Valentines Day I spent with my husband. He gave me a beautiful Asparagus Fern Plant, which I still have over 50 years later, plus an amazing book with a love letter in it, and 99 empty pages. For the next 44 years, until he was killed, every year he would write me a love letter. Sometimes a short paragraph, sometimes 2 or 3 pages long. His friends would often say, are you sure she doesn’t want flowers, or jewelry, and he would say, I know my wife. He was right. Although, it always brings me tears, I treasure reading those words over and over.
A retired Marine, like a Boy Scout, is always prepared, right? <3
Hahahahahaha, yes Jan and the funny part is I am an Eagle Scout . Happy Valentine’s Day my dear friend
blah humbug. don’t need a date on a calendar tells me have to buy significant other buy flowers chocs jewelry or whatever else. should do that everyday.
Hear hear! Well done, wpd!
I got my GF a nice new Valentine’s Day mop and broom set with matching dust pan, but she still didn’t seem all that excited. There’s no pleasing women!
This is when you cling in hope to the maxim, “It’s the thought that counts.”
Hahahahahaha, nice
That’s a very sweet story. I’m sorry for your loss, but happy for your sweet memories.
She probably wanted a new cement mixer. Oh well.
all I want to say is LOLOLOL !!!
I got my wife a new bag but she doesn’t seem too pleased about it.
The vacuum cleaner does seem more efficient with it though.

I think that is THE most beautiful story I have ever heard. What a man! How blessed you are to be loved by a sweetheart. I am truly sorry for your loss. You have many wonderful memories.
