My apologies for vagueness here… All I do to ‘fight fire with fire’ is slow down a tad, just enough to get the point across… Not gonna rush just because some child here is impatient and wants to “Get this game over with so they can start another one”… I’m not trying to see ‘how much poker I can play in one day’, just looking to kill a little time in between actually living a life worth living… It’s what people do when they are all grown up - some of us here are actually ‘all grown up’… Bless…
well if I play to fast I will usually make a mistake…unless I fold before the deal…
people who want the game to go faster are usually behind in chip count…
I WHOLE HEARTEDLY AGREE!!! There is a reason that we have clocks on the tables. Many tables use a very fast clock, while other tables utilize a slower, more relaxed clock. I, for one, am not able to sit at a fast table and relax. It is too intense for me, and I think there must be other people who are in the same boat. Thanks for your post.

Again, let me emphasize that the thrust of my comment was making folks aware of the option to use the boxes for advance action ONLY IF THEY WANT TO. If they are aware and choose not to, fine.
So You still believe there should be an announcement before every game to explain this option to the Players? Not only for the games with the 20 second clock but the faster 10 second ones also?
what would it hurt? A 5 second announcement box on screen while
waiting for the game to populate and start…
i agree
geeze is it a race? i am sick of players at my table saying “zzzzzzz so slow”
there is a timebank isn’t there? i think the complainers need to lighten up?
i am blonde and i play poker, not just click buttons…i think about many things prior to making a decision
so type zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz all you you wish
@WinstonSmith
Some of us want to play POKER, because this is surely what the site is for and if you wanna “kill a little time” you can spend more time at watchpaintdry.com!!
ROFLMAO, lol… This is FREE Poker, bro… It is so different from Real Poker you may as well compare those games with the difference between night and day, lol… So… Next time you want to play poker go to where they actually play poker… If you can handle it… lol… Meanwhile, funsies poker is for having a little fun in between living real life… A diversion, so to speak, lol…
Those wanting a faster game might want to try tennis.
…but I might sweat…
Played Speed Chess Years back. Even with My Lagging Computer etc. I would try a 2 second Tourney in a Heartbeat.
half the time i try to use the checkboxes, Replay ignores my choice and i sit there running out the clock, thinking I don’t need to take any more action.
its not rocket science and I agree some of us take way to long to decide–cmon you ppl its just chips…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Hopefully you are thinking about the game. I don’t think there is much time to think about anything else at least not for me.
I’ve never had a problem with check boxes.
It maybe just chips to you, but it is practice for the real thing for me. Whether I’m playing in the 5/10 game or 500/1000, I play to win. I play with chips the same way I play with my money, to win!
Why does the game have to be faster? Online games are much faster than playing live. I’ve seen players request faster play and are slow themselves. People spend to much time watching others and ignoring themselves. Poker is, in my opinion, a mind game as well as card game. When I see a person in a hurry, I see an impatient person that is susceptible to mistakes. I may intentionally take a little longer than I normally do. You can’t worry about the game and your cards at the same time. You can’t be emotionally distracted and be a good player. I guess, I would be considered a fast player, but there are times when I’m not sure whether to call or not and the clock runs out on me.
Personally, the game is more important to me than the speed of the game. I like having to control my emotions; not get upset about time, losing a hand, getting busted on the river, caught with pockets, and losing with pocket aces. Slow play is simply part of the game if all your decisions are snap decisions, you can’t be a very good poker player.
I would agree with you Zanoni in regard to having patience at the table. I have been playing for well over 50 years and have found that the easy marks are usually the ones who are hasty in their decisions. And we all know that with electronics at play; sometimes its really not the player who is at fault.
Patience, waiting for a decent hand as well as with others is a very important part of this game.
