Michael Buffer made a guest appearance tonight before round 1.
28 Warriors showed up to chew bubblegum and kick ass and i forgot the bubblegum lol.
@mrzick scored the biggest KO of the night on a massive hand between the two biggest stacks (@gunslinger13) and coasted to the win. @Trish-da-Fish stuck and moved to second, @southwestmba fought hard before going down in a flurry, and @Excaliburns was amazing coming back from 18 chips (some media report 1 chip but i have witnesses) to finish in the chips.
Great game and it is only the start.
PSA If any Warriors are looking for a RTC teammate @DenaliD is looking for a team.

Round 2
31 Warriors out for a night on the town and found a cool poker room and played a tournament.
A legend returned tonight and reminded us just how good he is with a classic @Boricua25 style win. @jryoungman was betting and bluffing through this stacked field, @Nebulos the silent assassin (plays on his phone) crushed it for 3rd, and Uwe (@Nemesis67) overcame a bad beat or two to claim 4th, and @DonkeyHaute chased a few windmills out of town to get the rest of the chips. @Boricua25 also punched a coveted TOC ticket
Great game, I learn so much each time I play with this group, Way to go Warriors!!!
Thank you for your kind words, SW, like I said in the past you are classy guy and a heck of a poker player, sometimes my hot Latin blood gets the better of me but I am a work in progress
Poker is a game that should be played with respect and integrity. Tonight, I accidently hit send on what my cards were before the hand was over (I would have hit quads and I planned on not hitting send until the hand was over). I immediately apologized and gave myself a 1 level penalty immediately and surrendering my blinds and a few premium hands. This is the integrity, I imagine each of us in this league would show.
Poker is also a game that can get emotions running fairly high. We want this league to be fun and friendly. Smack talk among friends and playful banter is encouraged, but crossing the line and making things personal is not. Last night there was an incident where, the emotions boiled over and that line was crossed. People say things in the heat of the moment that doesnât reflect who they are. I hope everyone can own up to their mistakes and make amends. I respect each of you in this league and Iâd hate to see a player not want to be a part of the warriors because the atmosphere at the table was disrespectful and unfriendly.
Rule 1 of Nordic Warriors. Treat your fellow warriors with respect. If you have a beef with another player, you are welcome to vent to Rain or I in private. Friends donât always see eye to eye or agree with each other and poker is a game where people can get very steamed at times. In those moments, please do not chat angry and refer to Rule 1.
Jobe, mein Freund, du bist jemand, mit dem man an den Tischen rechnen muss, und auĂerdem ein guter Freund, der mich mit dem Ăbersetzer beschäftigt.
Congrats bro B!!! âŚLike a boss!
Very well said Andy. I actually missed the incident last night, but I talked to Michael afterwards, and woke up to several messages. For me, the bottom line is, we all go thru tough times in Life. We never know what another player may be going thru at the table. We should never ever say unkind words to anyone. If they annoy you, mute them, or at least keep your fingers off the keyboard if nothing nice can be said. Good people, and that is what happen here, say the wrong things sometimes. Once you say it, it is hard for others to forget. I can only hope they can forgive. I played that game last night right after hearing we had lost a good friend, and a mate due to a massive stroke after surgery. Timbo4 will always be remembered as a kind, funny, good player, & awesome friend. Tim1 and Tim2(his cousin Whooshman1) & I had just chatted on skype before he went into surgery. I was lucky to have that time with him. He was so happy to finally get his hand fixed. Never knowing when it can be ones last day, or never knowing what players are going through, is why you should never say UNKIND WORDS, NEVER!!
RIP Timbo4, a warrior heading for Valhalla, one of our own has fallen in battle give him the honor he deserves, you will be missed Tim
OMG. Thought and prayers to Timbo4 family and friends. I only got to know him for a short time but I really enjoyed his attitude and play. Not many words come to mind right now. RIP
Congrats on your win Boricua. Well played by all the Warriors. Winning the game is all one needs to say sometimes.
That is beautiful Andy. I will just say to those who loved him:
I canât imagine what youâre going through.
Iâm so sorry for your loss.
I donât know what to honestly say.
I wish I had the right words to comfort you.
You, your family, and Timâs friends will be in our thoughts and prayers.
God Bless

Red skies at night couldnât hide the winds picking up from the southwest tonight. The cards were cold at first but then the storms started to rage and 22 warriors braved the wind and the waves for glory and lots of chips. @Southwestmba tied @Excaliburns record of 5 wins with a lot of luck and occasional bit of skill, @mafus was a kraken sinking players with fury (and got really unlucky at the end), @mrzick of the magnificent seven found the good fight but ran out of bullets, and @tinboat rode the waves to a treasure chest of chips. Some nights the cards are in your favor but it was a masterful game from #22 to #1.
K4 suited is fine to call at this stack depth vs. UTG 2.5x. You will not have a ton of playability OOP but youâre getting a very enticing price. K4 offsuit is probably just a fold pre.
There is no reason to continue with either hand on this flop unless you have diamonds.
If we do somehow reach this turn, itâs a check-evaluate, not an open-jam. As Michael says, the K will actually just complete/improve villainâs hand quite a bit of the time, given the UTG open.
And if it doesnât, why give them the one chance to fold by shoving? At least if we check-call we can catch some bluffs/beat a flopped top pair that is trying to protect its equity against draws.
Thank you, I admit he got me to make an emotional move because he had been cooling me out. I decided it was highly likely he was bluffing. So my move was not a value bet, but a bluff catcher.
Woke up to a thought of an old game show called âName That Tuneâ
I can name that tune in 35 notesâŚ
Now, how does that apply to the Nordic Warriors record of 5 wins?
SW did reach 5 wins in 36 games.
My competitive nature, even while sleeping, was sorting all this out and woke up
to the above thought!
@Excaliburns Actually you won your 5th game that quarter after 33 games and your 40% cash rate record (14/35) seems well out of reach (Iâm at 12/36) so those records will stay intack. But records are meant to be broken and anytime I finish ahead of you I mark that down as an accomplishment. And I am stoked you are my teammate for the RTC with @Sue13
