What is the longest heads up battle you have had in a MTT Tournament? This afternoon @chris080663 and myself battled heads up for 50 minutes and 112 hands at the end of the 10K Omaha Eight-High Omaha Hi-Lo tournament. It took1 hr 29 minutes to get down to 2 and nearly as long to crown a winner.

Everyone has their own strategy heads up.
The problem is it’s rare to get there and when you do…
LoL It happens so fast that it’s difficult to change gears and even remember what one did the last time.
But you know, if you do get a chance to settle in and remember, battling for 50 minutes + both players
are on the same page with their strategy
You could realize this much sooner and possibly knowing what he would do by knowing what you
would do. If that makes any sense
Of course, your opponent, since he’s thinking like you, he might very well adjust the same exact way
with the same exact tactics!
With the luck being spread out and neutral …

Anyway, I was just curious to find out who won this marathon.
The ramble was just an afterthought.
I’m just glad it didn’t take me 1hr and 29 minutes (x2) to write this post.

When I read your original post, noticing the info of who won was missing, the poker player in me, the natural instinct was to get a read on the player, no pun intended lol
So after a minute of thought, I came to the conclusion you had lost the contest,
I thought I had a good read!
Well, it was a good read in a way LoL
I thought it would be natural or more likely for a player not to broadcast his loss
The tell would be the omission.
I would have even taken a bet if someone was here at the time
That’s how confident I was
Luckily for me, no one was around at the time.
Whoever got a read on me expecting a congratulatory response, was correct!

I had a see-saw battle last night.
One thing learned was don’t join a tournament near bedtime.
We played 173 hands during the heads up, probably would’ve been more if I just didn’t want to get it over with and go to bed. After playing for 3 hours it was 1:30 a.m. Usually I wake up by 6 a.m.

It didn’t even make a dent in my statistics of 80% hands folded and 12% hands won.
Been that way for awhile, doesn’t seem that will ever change.
I’ve played over 242k hands lifetime.
I just replayed the last hand of your battle.

I agree 173 hands is enough at 1:30 AM

Yeah, I should have shoved with my 9’s preflop then he probably would have folded his 56o, then it may have gone on for who knows how much longer.
I’d gone thru my entire 6-pack of talls, perhaps if I had more beer I’d played it right, lol.
One beer short of a victory!
