Jazz It Up

I’m from Georgia, where we listen to hip-hop and country. But these aren’t the best genres for focus and a balanced mood. Hip-hop = the opposite of focus and Country can be emotional and well, whiny.

Spotify threw jazz into one of my mixes, and I haven’t stopped because my win rate has become much steadier (though I still have my share of questionable actions), and my response to bad beats has been much less emotional. I’m an emotional dude.

I Googled “Best music for poker playing” and some psychology blog mentioned, among other types of sound/music, jazz.
Could your music be affecting your win rate and overall energy ? JAZZ IT UP

I grew up with Dave Brubeck

I think Sophie Ellis Bextor is cool to listen to on a lower volume but that’s 2000s UK pop or Knight Ali - Blossom on repeat

That’s so cool! Tell me more  I forgot to mention I was in a jazz band in high school, and Dave Brubeck was definitely my favorite. “Take 5” was on a bunch of my mix tapes/CDs which would have rock/rap/country on it. I just really attach to the vibe

Im gonna try it right now

I’ve also learned music does provide the energy, we need in all things we do. Jazz is a great option, while playing the Great game of Poker. In other things we enjoy it may be Journey on the golf course, for example.
