I played a game with an idiot that ran out the clock every hand. After the 40th or 50th hand he was still at it, It took forever to play the game. He was a jerk yet I got warned. If the site doesn’t police the idiots I want nothing more to do with this. I’m not here to take 4 hours to play a hand.
I’d suggest joining a league before giving up on Replay.
You may have a consistently better experience.
Usually in life, out of the negative will come a positive.
Welcome and embrace it all and remember to walk on the sunny side of the street!
Shaky League poker is postive competive no idiots or any negative play. It will build your skill level too. It will be tough at first.
Watch when the settlement payout is made. I’ve never noticed this before, it appears the settlement payout is made before the River card is even dealt. Although the settlement is made correctly. It just doesn’t seem right that it should be occurring.
computer speed vs human speed… since there was no further player actions possible the program already knew who won since the deck order is fixed before the deal… good catch though
Hi ShakyShaw,
I completely understand and share your frustration with those who run the clock for every round every hand. I can only assume you got warned for inappropriate chat. While what those people do is incredibly frustrating, it is technically within the rules although it is specifically mentioned in the Community Playbook - Replay Poker :
Gamesmanship
- Time Clock - Players are entitled to use the clock provided to them on Replay Poker. Please do not react rudely if others are considering their strategy, including spamming “zzz” in chat. However, staff may investigate if players are consistently and intentionally trying to disrupt the flow of play.
So when you respond in the chat in the wrong manner, you are the one breaking the rules, hence the warning. Besides, since they are probably trying to put you on tilt, why give them the satisfaction of reacting.
I think the best thing to do is to ask them politely to stop and/or report them and then, if you want, tell them you are doing so. Be sure to include some hand numbers in your report. I hope this helps.
Cheers!
Every 200 hands, stop, then input all of your hands into a spreadsheet. Once you have about 100k hands in your spreadsheet, crunch the numbers. If Villain’s flushes, straights and sets come in more than the statistical average and yours come in less, THEN you can stomp up and down that it’s fixed against you.
Until then all of your lame excuses are nothing but … lame excuses.
I’m not criticizing you with this reply because it appears you’ve spent some time thinking about your response but …
- Your response has nothing to do with my post in this thread which I can see.
- Your suggestion is just impractical for me to do but maybe it isn’t for you.
I’ve never claimed the site is rigged and several times posted that a suspected Flaw was introduced which just meant a mistake was made. My posts are no different than when we notify Staff of Glitches which have frequently been occurring recently which seems to also have been occurring coincidently after the major conversion on here.
Getting back to my post and my comments and the reply which was provided to mine.
- Based on my basic understanding of coding and the flow which should be happening every time. Both results are computer generated so the visual sequencing should always be the same.
- If the reason is because the computer already knows the outcome whenever the result is already “fixed” before the River is dealt then we should see the same Settlement flow whenever every player goes all-in Pre-flop in a hand. I’ve never noticed that happening before but will be taking notice from now on because this happens frequently.
Did you watch the replay and noticed that the Settlement appeared to be before the River was dealt?
I’m just curious. Thanks.
Actually, the animations likely get triggered at exactly the same time. It’s definitely a bug though. I would guess that the server sent out the event for awarding the hand without the correct delay for some reason. The recent issues with tables freezing for everyone at the same time would track with there being some timing issue on the server. I’ve never seen either of those happen before.
@das32343 I don’t know if you have a line to the dev team, but given this is reproducible for everyone who views the replay, this is something they’d probably want to know about.
Btw, when I write this happens frequently, I’m referring to the all-in Pre-flop by the players on the table.
I made a quick recording of he hand playback and watched frame by frame. it appears the chips start moving at exactly the same time the card appears at the top of the screen.
the software “knows” the outcome of the hand the instant the last possible player action for that hand is performed. as soon as that last player folded the outcome of the hand was set. All that remained was to render and display the visuals.
I would be willing to bet that the software did display the last card at the top of the screen before starting the display of the pot moving to the winner… if only by a millisecond… computer time
just had a thought… lets test this a little… we can make a private table (1/2 blinds) and both go all in for a few hands… see what happens with the display i’ll send u a friend request
You could just watch any 1/2 table for a while and see everyone go all multiple times. I doubt you’ll see the same timing issue though. In any case, as the replay above shows it every time for everyone, it can’t be a client issue, and whatever caused it must have been recorded in some way for it to play back that way each time.
Not being sure what we are seeing when we watch a replay complicates the situation somewhat. are we watching a video recording of the hand, or is the hand being replayed in/through the software??
I do know that some glitches must be client based/related as they do not repeat when the hand in question is replayed.
I’m gonna go watch some 1/2 tables… or better yet the start of a bankroll builder with rebuys… lol
As @lihiue suggested a HU between the two of us isn’t really necessary. Besides I’d probably try to bust you and win each time out of habit.
Happens all the time. At least once per day I get moved from a table just as the river card comes down and I have to check my stack to see if I won or lost the pot. The animations just lag behind. That’s all. Would be nice if it was smoother, slightly annoying, but nothing wrong with how the hand itself played out.
That’s irrelevant. There is no evidence whatsoever that the hand - or any hand - is predetermined. Of course the code knows what the river card is just before it turns over. No code would ever work if it didn’t know.
so I watched some 1/2 tables for a while and… no all ins!!!
The idea is that we both go all in preflop every hand to observe how the animations and timings happen. 5 or 10 hands should do it. but if you are not interested that’s cool as well, it was just an idea.

No animation glitch, but what a crazy runout!
