I quit!

Too damn nitty even at high stakes. Down 500M in a matter of minutes because no one ever goes all in with anything but the nuts and I insist on playing big spots relatively GTO. Think I’ve learned what I can from playing here, but not really interested in Replay exploiting anymore.

Will still play some events here and there to be social, but I’m officially completely disillusioned. Even at the highest stakes, even the best players on the site, most of them simply do not have anywhere near enough big bluffs. And that’s just BORING.

(May change my mind later when no longer tilted lol)

Like I thought once I was rolled for the big game (I mean not really but anyway) at least we could finally play poker, but no. It’s just small ball all day with the occasional “I have the literal nuts so I am going to go all in.”

Hand #1274745389 · Replay Poker (casino.org)

I hesitate to say this, (clears throat), but that’s the worst Omaha Hi Lo playing I’ve seen in a

long time.

No wonder you want to quit.

Lately, my Omaha Hi Lo game isn’t well either.

So, the smart thing to do is to risk a hell of a lot less.

Why on earth would you risk so much playing like that?

Especially, diving below your hard earned 1B mark.

It just doesn’t make any sense!

All I can think of is that you’re burned out and it’s a good time to take a break from here.

After the RTC of course!

yeah I am just tired of folding to all-ins because it’s never a bluff
you are right! I know better. but I also realize I am tired of grinding out the value-nits (they’re not nits per se, but they are still crazy unbalanced when they come back over the top)

Sometime high stakes is worse, because people are way too value heavy on all streets - especially when using large sizes - so you need to overfold right from the flop. The lower stakes players tend to be a bit more cautious and/or a lot more obvious on early streets.
I usually treat it as a mental challenge - trying to stay disciplined and not make the borderline calls that are basically guaranteed to be losing outside of real money stakes I will never play. And when I fail at that, at least I get to have that reinforced without actual money on the line. Funnily enough, I don’t think I’ve ever really got much more disciplined when I play here, but it’s definitely helped me find more folds on the rare occasions I play for real money.

Yeah, I think you’re spot on there. I’m like “this is easily the upper quartile of my range, I should continue” when in reality depending on size/position/villain, I should really only be continuing with the top 5% of my range or something silly like that .

Oh, and normal considerations like “this is the best hand I’ll arrive with given prior action” are often moot; the salient question is just “what’s the weakest hand they’re doing his with”

to which the answer is often “the nuts” lol

It sounds to me like you’re just feeling that …

I can’t really speak about the high stakes, but I can probably back you up on 50k MTT and down. So many decisions rely heavily on player type.

For instance, 3-bets pre are always prime, unless you’re against a maniac.

I’m also continually shocked at how many people will try to limp trap KK 100 deep 5-handed. I have notes on a couple who have checked multiple streets with it after I bluff stab a river and lose to it.

If I apply some logic to the situation, it would make sense that the better players on Replay would be the best exploiters, and of course the best exploiters are the tight and aggressive players. So as you move up stakes, more and more the opponents that one would face would be tighter and tighter, continuing their play styles tight when really they should be balancing out more for the higher stakes and tougher competition.

I think he’ll be back before August 1, 2025. He’s addicted to Replay. We can verify whether he does or not by just looking at his hand History.

With the RTC in progress, I doubt he would let his team down.

The “!!!” are in it to win it.

August 1 ST?

No, he will be back playing for his team way before that.

I was surprised all three Improbables showed up the first week.

Now that’s a low probability event!

I was tempted to make a bet he would return before August 1, but as everyone knows when I make a bet no one believes I’m really gambling.

Take his ball and go home he lost a couple of hand big deal
