Some GOOD news for a change: We Should Emulate the Righteous Actions (of) Casino Owners
Excerpt: Despite being one of the industries hit hardest by the economic challenges of the coronavirus, it is ironic and exemplary how the gaming industry is taking care of people. While nearly 650,000 casino employees are out of work, a few companies are going above and beyond to take care of their people. Red Rock Resorts is continuing to pay all employee salaries and benefits through May 15. Wynn Resorts CEO Matt Maddox was the first to close the Wynn’s doors, even before the state of Nevada ordered them shut. But Wynn is paying all of their 13,000 employees their full salaries until at least May 15. When the government of Macao shut down gaming facilities, it cost Wynn $2.6 million every day, mostly in salaries. But they paid the salaries and took care of their people.

I think this is going to have a Domino-Snowball effect on what could be a long list of businesses and it’s impact on both our economic and sociological world’s could be devastating. There’s the potential for all of our rides to be wild ones in the near future. I hope we can still enjoy ourselves while participating in the game we love to hate to love to hate to love. Peace.

Trying to Win a poker tournament is like trying to beat the Covid-19, if you are at a disadvantage (you are old, you have some other illness) it is most likely that you will NOT do it.
So FOLD (save yourself) … wait for the next hand and stay home.

It hasn’t really affected me that much.
The only notable change was that I was forced to grease the palm of the local grocery store manager with a hefty bribe in order to get first crack at critical supplies. Choice cuts of meats, toilet paper, and so on are now readily available to me.
Of course, I had my security team videotape the exchange, so I can use the incriminating evidence as leverage to obtain deep discounts on these supplies going forward. Life is good!

We in New Zealand have reached 21 days without a new case. Our last active case has recovered so we are"covid eliminated".
We said farewell to 22 people and I send my strength to their loved ones. They are wedding guests, they are retirement home residents, they are a stag party, they are stock breeders attending a conference, they are carers, they are more, they are loved ones, they are families and they are us.
