Makes sense, but at the same time I bet you’ve never played a live game sitting across from a zombie, a muppet, an anime character, a blurry image of a pet doing something inscrutable, a head shot of an old grinning toothless guy that’s probably supposed to be ironic, a bikini model, and a couple of vague blue silhouettes. If you’re lucky.
But ultimately they’re all just pixels. We’ll manage, somehow. Probably with post-its.
What I’d like really like to be able to do is mute the chat in a way that’s actually useful, such as by making it possible to mute the Broadcast and Players while allowing the Dealer, or just the Broadcast (etc.). And it would be really, really nice if it were possible to mute spectators.

there is. by info tab at table, there is a drop down menu says filter and can put it on players only

Other options are Dealer only or Broadcast only. Or, a post-it to cover the whole chat box and solve the problem–or do as many do (though some may simply not share a language with anyone else at the table) and just ignore all of it.
Neither of those replies achieve what I was wanting to be able to do, though. I’d like the mute options reconfigured to be useful in the manner I described above.
Spectators lives matter … let them talk if they want to.

Actually Sharon, why not remove the players’ names as well in case they disturb some people? Just use player numbers 1 - 9? (Asking for a friend)

You’re thinking of the pre-18th Century Old English and Old High Saxon definition while I was alluding to the Old High German connotations and the original meaning of its common Indo-European root, which is dheubh-.
Just allow pictures on or off . This should be easy and each player decides.
I agree, the world would be a better place if we could just protect everyone in everyway from ever being even mildly offended. Or distracted or annoyed… I think snowflakes are people too. 
I’m offended by the color blue. I should have the option to block all blues. I’m also offended by people with more chips, we should be able to reduce their stacks somehow…

Loving the hypocritical deletion of my replies that had valid points that I guess were too awkward to let stand or offended the snowflakes or something. I’m guessing this is where I’m supposed to do the smugly condescending [rolls eyes] thing. [rolls eyes]
The suggestion was made to give us the ability to hide avatars on the table. You can agree or not agree, but why get into a flame war over it? It’s not a feature I would use, but that doesn’t make those who would “snowflakes.”
Several people have expressed support of the idea, several have not. If you agree, say so, if you don’t, say that. There’s no reason to drag other people just for having their own opinions on a subject.

OK Lunatic0, I will give you the point for that one . But just for the record, it is not a kitten. It is a Florida Everglades wildcat, aka a river cat, because the Glades are also known as the River of Grass. I will take my ruffled fur and go home now. lol.
