Free Online Poker Course From MIT

MIT offers a free video course on poker theory and analysis that some of you might find interesting. The focus is on tournament poker, but the concepts can be applied to any poker format.

Be advised that the actual course used a private league and software such as PokerTracker, so these are referenced in several of the lectures. Since we don’t have access to text file hand histories, some of the material covered would be hard to duplicate here. Still, it’s a good series, and well worth the time it takes to watch. Don’t be intimidated by the math. It’s MIT after all! You don’t have to memorize all the formulas in order to learn the concepts.

It would be nice to be able to export hand histories though.
