Forever Phil New League

The following was posted by Dan in Skype…

Today’s podium finishers are Doon101, Kondrad, 1960Royal. Congratulations to them and thank you all for your attendance.

P.S. we have to stop letting Bill win. It goes to his head, and I will ask Frank to try harder.

Congratulations to Micheline who also finished on the podium, and would of likely prevailed… had luck not been on my side.

On behalf of the other Forever Phil League organizers I am pleased to announce that a second game day for Just Jenny’s Jousting has been added, which will be played on Wednesdays at 1 pm Eastern beginning this coming November 6th. Similar to why the second game day for Lightning Pairs was added, it was and simply is, so that Players on the other side of the pond can take better part without sacrificing any sleep.

Replay was kind enough to provide a 150K prize pool add on to all four of Wednesday’s JJJ games in November.

In November the transition from JJJ having just one monthly award, as was the case in September and October, to being a quarterly competition with two awards, which will officially start in January next year, begins. How we will deal with the next two months are as follows…

In November and December there are 9 Saturdays and 8 Wednesdays, with the game on Wednesday December 25th being cancelled, it leaves us with 9 and 7 games respectively, which is not balanced and is therefore not acceptable.

Just Jenny’s Jousting, in terms of points being awarded, will run from Wednesday November 6th to Saturday December 21st inclusive. The games on Saturday November 2nd and Saturday December 28th will both run, but no points will be awarded. And with the game on Christmas Day being cancelled, we are left with 7 Wednesdays and 7 Saturdays of JJJ for the rest of this year.

After the game on December 21st is done and put to bed, there will be two awards handed out… 1) most points achieved through one’s 5 best games played and 2) the best average points per game, achieved by those who play in 4 or more games.

Just Jenny’s Jousting will be modified in January to, and accordingly, accommodate the extra games provided by the 3rd month.

We thank everyone for your time, patience, understanding and participation in the past, and we will truly appreciate if this can and will remain the case… as we forge ahead into the future.

Congratulations to the Fighters who were on top today, when the dust settled, it was a close one. The Fighters also won the month of October, which is now their sixth in a row. A special mention for Cathy [martinigal3] who played her first game in Lightning Pairs today as a Muncher and wound up winning her table. Well Done, keep doing that.

Congratulations to both the Munchers and the Fighters who ended up tied, after it was all said and done. Well done to all who played, as I believe that this was the best turnout in quite some time. Thank you, everyone for playing. It is good to see every Team with a decent start to this month, good luck for the rest of the journey.

Congratulations to MONKEYzBUzINEz, Ad Infinitum, RiverRats and Deeper Purple… who all had two point wins today. Further recognition to MONKEYzBUzINEz who are presently leading in this Season, thus far.

Congratulations to today’s Podium Finishers… Kondrad, HeyHandsOff and XXC63… well done. And a thank you to everyone who played.

Micheline, Julie and Carol all were very good company in tonight’s MMC tussle. Congratulations to Julie who made the podium.

Congratulations to the Fighters who managed to eek out the win this afternoon, which was hard fought by all Teams. Also, and as was hoped, this month is off to a good and competitive start for all Teams. Well done everyone and thank you for playing, it truly makes a difference.

Congratulations to the Mystics who managed to get the deal done, by a nose. It should be noted that the Mentors achieved their highest amount of points in game, tonight. As things stand… only 9 points separates 1st and 4th, which bodes well for the rest of the month.

FranklyI dodged a few sharp lances from RavenL, Doon101 and Julie63 to reach the end of the run. Congratulations to all and thank you for your attendance. Very fun game.
