As long as you put them in a bowl covered with Saran Wrap for 15 minutes so they can steam while they cool would be perfect.
Leave the skin, medium hot and I cut them lengthwise and stuff with jalapeño cheese. Remember your steaming them last so they are not hard.
I’ll try anything to get rid of having to skin them poblanos. but if too hot taste, Ill just refer her to my friend lol. Nah I always have a side meal ready for experiments
Try ‘em You’ll love them

**New England Clam Chowder **
Add the bacon to a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat and cook for about 10 minutes or until done and crispy.
Transfer the bacon to a plate with a slotted spoon and discard most of the fat, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the pot. Add the chopped onions and celery and cook for 8 minutes or until translucent. Add the garlic and cook for 2 more minutes. Stir in the flour for an additional minute.
Add the clam juice, water, thyme, bay leaf, and potatoes. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce it to a simmer. Season with black pepper, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
Remove from the heat and stir in clams, heavy cream, and chives or parsley. Discard bay leaves and thyme sprig (if desired). Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
No problem my friend, I just wish I could get my neighbors to try & make it instead of asking me to for them lol!!!
Maybe they don’t want to turn an oven on in this heat lol
I’m in! I make my carrot cake with unsweetened applesauce in place of oil. It works!
I usually use coconut oil nonstick spray or “baking spray” which has a little flour in it . Spray the parchment paper and the pan !
Never any sticking on baked goods , Cake, or breads
However, you have to have a source of moisture in the baked goods, and you can swap out the 100% fat of butter, shortening, or oil with unsweetened applesauce. No discernable difference, to me, in my zucchini bread or my carrot cake. I, too, use nonstick spray–coconut or avocado oil–as well as parchment paper.
But taste and texture is relative. I usually use a “ Cake Soak “ depending on what I’m baking. My go to is “ clear vanilla extract “ applesauce or apples like in the other recipe changes the taste/ texture of the cake or loaf.
Egg white Frittatas with spinach, red pepper, made in a muffin pan with muffin cups. Make a few dozen and freeze them. Delicious
