Of course AA is the best but the next best is AK suited. .
My favourite cards preflop vary depending on the situation, and who I’m playing against.
eg. many have said that they love AK preflop but I’ll take on an AK with a pair of deuces preflop playing heads up. But that fine pair of deuces in heads up preflop might not be so fine three handed.
And there’s times I bet very hard preflop on two nothing cards if I’m playing against two very tight players who’ve checked.
When it comes to cards, it’s always - horses for courses!
For Omaha my favorite is A2 because it gives a great chance to win at least half. For Holdem my favorite hand is QQ. It is a strong hand with good cards! lol
Favorite starting hand is 8 - 10 suited. Lots of straight and flush draws.

Really it is AA, as that is the hand that I’m most happy to see; but I’ll nominate JTs.
- It hits a ton of straights, and more of those will be the nut straight than with any other hand
- It is moderately strong when it hits top pair, especially relative to most other drawing hands
- It can make a royal flush (though I’ve heard this will happen less than 50% of the time)
- When you raise with it pre-flop, it’s not usually front and center in people’s minds as a hand that is likely in your range

Because it can be so strong and surprising at times I call 6-7 suited often.
97 when blinds are low and i’m ip
straights are often hidden or unexpected. 2 pr. hits a lot. i flop open ended straight draws a lot with 97. i very seldom open offsuit 1 gappers, even royal, so I’m not expected to be holding a hand this weak. 97o is my never say never hand

My favorite starting hand is any hand when I have the Big Blind, so that I know how everyone else is feeling about their hole cards. (Can I get away with this?)
I find that I will often win with 2, pair Jacks and fives. Probably because it reminds me of the Jackson 5
