This year I’m wishing for good health for my family & friends, to be able to see friends again who I haven’t seen in person since March and the new PlayStation 5.
I am wishing for the opportunity to get in the car and drive eight hours south to visit my mom, my niece, my sis, and my brother. But I think we’ll have to have a post-vaccination Christmas next summer. I can wait!
After 60 years, I still wish I could forget Christmas eve when I was 7, walking home from midnight night mass with my mom, who was hit by a drunk driver and killed. I spent that evening and then Christmas day in the constables office, while they tracked down my uncle, who was performing out of the country. As each new shift came and went I could hear them saying, what should we do with this poor child.
I’m wishing good health to all those suffering with covid-19 right now, as I recently went through it. Fortunately I recovered, and I wish the same for those who currently are going through the same ordeal.
I am wishing that all homeless find shelter. That all those who are hungry get fed.
