Can Replay Poker help you get into the "Money" at 2024 WSOP?

Congrats Planopete! Thats on my bucket list too but i have a long way to be there, have to be a good poker player first, but this is the most beautiful game and a dream can be true as it went for you! Ty for sharing!!

Hi @Kondrad
Thanks for your comments!!!
I agree, that Poker is my favorite game of all time, even with the variations…
For instance, now, I play more “Omaha High/Low” than anything else…
And, yes, a dream or bucket list item can come true, and sometimes you get the added benefit of not only playing in the WSOP, but, also cashing…
That was very special…
I always tell people that: Poker is the only gambling game that allows people to win a pot without having to show their cards…
to me, that gives you an edge…
Good luck on achieving your dream…
thanks again!!!

Your experience is the same as a minor league baseball player getting a chance to play in the

major leagues and having success. It’s quite an accomplishment!

Everyone down here in the minors should be chanting a very friendly MVP! MVP! when they see

you at their table.

I sure hope you’ll compete in the team event this year.

I like that you shared your story and inspired many along the way!

A true champion!

I like the analogy @Excaliburns!

Well, I don’t know that anyone needs to be chanting…

As I have replied to other posts, I wanted to let people know that is possible with the right preparation, including Replay Poker and Daniel Negreanu’s you tube video on Omaha High/Low, and the appropriate bank roll, that people could compete in the WSOP…

It has long been a dream of mine and on my bucket list…

So, I’m fortunate enough to have Winstar casino 1hr and 15 mins from my house.

It is long enough for me to think about the drive and “investment” of my funds in Poker…

Since the beginning of this year, I told myself if I was able to get up to $2k in winnings, then I could pay for my event + travel…

Always good to have goals… So, I did, and the rest is history!!!

I’m glad that you liked the story and, that it has inspired others…

thanks again for your kind words!!!

Good luck with your poker journey!!!

From what I read it was a Fixed Limit game (which O8 normally is at the WSOP as well as when it’s incorporated into 8/10-game mix and H.O.R.S.E.) which is why I’ve tried in the past to request to RP to switch some of the Omaha Hi/Lo MTT’s from NL/PL format to FL (especially the highest buy-in one of them all, Omaha Adrenaline) for a scenario like what you just described…in order to perhaps be better prepared for live O8 tournaments.

Hi @RyRyRobe,

Yes, event #4 of this year’s WSOP was Omaha High/Low (fixed limit).

They also have a PL version this week at WSOP.

I’m excited that they have NL/PL Omaha H/L games here at Replay Poker, but, I would also welcome a fixed limit game as well…

Thanks again for your comments!!!

Good luck with Replay Poker!!!

Good idea

Thanks @PaperBoy73

This was an idea initiated by @RyRyRobe and, I support it in multiple table tournament action, with blinds increasing!!!

I appreciate your comments!!!

Congrats but my wife won’t let me play for real money :face_exhaling:

You have the right idea. Anytime you play against other players, free or real money, you will learn something, and it is accumulative.
Also, after about 50% of the players of the free money tournament have been knocked out, you are playing much closer to the real thing giving you real experience.
If you ever find yourself constantly getting to the final table in free tournament play, go find yourself a real cash tournament - you are ready. Just start low limit and go up at your own pace.

Stay safe, David

Thanks for your comments @MtAiryMnstr
I’m with you on that…
Happy wife, happy life…
enjoy Replay Poker…

If you are interested, you might read my posts on the
community forum under poker discussion.

I show that over 6,000 people have so far read my stories from when I used to work as a poker dealer in Las Vegas during the Mob years, dealing to the most famous poker players of the time. Enjoy.

Thanks for your comments @Sinkysea

Hi @aceto5

I’ll check your stories out…

thanks!!!

My problem is that I win or at least come inside the bubble several times a week. I played in several stakes and did alright, but my family seems to thing that this is not an indicator of how I would play for real cash. I’m sure that my intuition would be the same but my instincts would make the risk of losing cash an overriding factor so I probably would not play the same. I may never know.

I understand exactly where you are coming from @MtAiryMnstr

Playing for cash versus playing for “free” chips is a different ball game…

I’ve been here since January of 2021, and, I believe that this site has improved my game… Especially, the Omaha High/Low poker… Repetition and practice make it perfect, kind of like what I used to do with sports… But, I don’t let it distract me, because this is a passion of mine. I’ve always said that if it becomes a chore, then I cannot do it… Work is a chore for me, poker is exciting…

I also follow some players on youtube that I’ve respected because I’ve watched them on tv and seem their outcomes…

Good luck with your Replay Poker activities…

I enjoy playing here as well…

This site has improved my play at small cash sites for sure and the reason is there are some VERY good players here that live in countries and places that have NO real cash poker places or sites. So, they only play here and play a lot and become good players. I try telling some of them that they are WAY better than MANY cash players on sites:)

Hi @bill8888

I agree…

There are some really good players here at Replay Poker

I let them know when they played a good hand!!!

Enjoy your play!!!
