Hi Everyone!

I enjoy the friendly chat when playing at the tables, but I know there are some players who don’t chat and I have here the most common reasons:

  1. They have player chat disabled, so they’re only seeing dealer chat.
  2. They’re playing on their phones, so there’s no chat box available.
  3. They have a chat restriction in their account.
  4. They’re not into chatting while playing at the tables.

While I agree it’s good to know if a player’s chat is restricted, some players may not want to share that they’ve received a moderation. I know some who have this info in their bio, “chat muted, sorry I can’t respond to nh gg” or something along those lines just to let everyone know the reason they don’t chat.

I’d like to add a couple more reasons because I usually play MTT’s.

  1. I’m checking out the Leaderboard ranking and seeing who is around me after I’ve folded so I’m not even looking at the table.
  2. When I’m close to the Bubble, I’m constantly checking the Leaderboard.
  3. When it’s down to the last two tables, I pull up the other table to see how they are playing. But, now that the Spectators can now be seen, I’m uncertain I’ll continue that practice.

In other words, I don’t intentionally ignore other players.

I’m always polite at the tables and do not miss any greeting or goodbyes because I pay attention to everything going on at the table.

Yes I nearly always play on my Android phone and there is no chat available.

I used to play mostly on my desktop computer and did participate in chat. I can’t say I ever came across anybody who was unpleasant. Not that it would bother me.

Usually if I was using the chat I would compliment people on their excellent play when they made a bad play and got lucky, in the hopes that they would continue in the same manner.

So, yes, I would recommend that if you are sensitive to comments it is better to play on an Android phone.

I wish there were tables with extended time between bids and chat was expected if not mandatory. This would allow for more table talk and, maybe, better simulate real life games.

this place needs more small talk…i sometimes feel like i’m playing solitare l came from a site that was very very social and so much fun…PKR.COM. I would play for hours and hours,here all i can take is about an hour …bored to death. lol

Well said, We are a great community & to keep that community as one, there should be more talk, discussions about the games, life & the fun we get playing Replay Poker !!

When you’re at my table we chat it up. That’s why I like the leagues so much, everyone is nice and sociable.
