Being old is watching your grandchildren and wondering why you didn’t have them first.

Being old is dropping $0.25 on the ground and taking more than 5 seconds whether to pick it up.

I agree with everything you all have said. MrZick. I don’t know how many times we said that about wishing we had our grandkids first. One thing for sure is the other option is not for me. I need time with my family and friends.

Sue, I pray that your family time is quality time and does not speed by.

Growing old is a wonderful gift. It allows one the opportunity to finally find their path. All paths are valid because they all lead back to the Creator sooner or later.

Thank you so much for the beautiful words. Times have been tough recently for my husband, but we keep going. I wish the same for you mrzick. I can’t like the rest of the night because I used them up for the day. Didn’t know there was a limit on liking posts. Never to old to learn either. God Bless.

I was just a kid standing next to my father when an old man came by and asked my dad, “How old are you?”

He replied, “57” which I knew at that moment he was lying … he was a lot younger.

The old man stepped closer to him and looked him in the eye and said, " You look damn good for 57 "

Then the old man went on his way.

I always remember that… it makes me laugh now and back then I remember laughing too.
