Promised to start 2023 on a diet but went through a whole bag reading that lot…
I find it amazing when its play money and a bit of fun that emotions on here run so high its hilarious
Some people are gracious in their wins and defeats and some arent
If winning means so much im not sure where the enjoyment comes in or even the fun can be had.

Personally, I don’t play poker to have “fun” terry, I play to win and whether it is play money or real money, my purpose is to take ALL your chips, I have played this game for many years and the most dangerous opponents are the ones that are really 'friendly" at the poker table but behind the friendly facade there is a wolve lurking! Lots of pride and ego in this game and like in any competitive sport if you don’t have drive, pride and ego, get out of the way because the “meek” are not going to inherit ANYTHING in poker, they are the gazelle, grassing leisurely while the big cats decide which one of them is the easier, tastier meal!

The January 2023 Donk of the Month
A little late this month to make this post, but it is still my pleasure to announce this month’s Donk of the month, an award given to a member that makes contributions of service to the league, demonstrates exceptional skill at the table, or has a strong positive influence on the members.
Our Donk of the month joined in August of 2022 in the Silver Donks tier, advancing to the Golden Donks in 2021 Q2 by finishing high enough on the Silver Donks Composite leaderboard. Two times this Donk has been the recipient of our Golden crowns, and was inducted into the HHOF in 2022 Q3 by winning the Golden Donks Sunday 7PM and Composite leaderboards.
In all, our Donk of the month has entered 284 games, making the final table 79 times, and taken the top spot on 12 occasions.
A little excerpt from this Donk’s profile:
“Am a south side Irish Italian. Have fun, play good game, and don’t talk smack as big mouths are a dime a dozen.
Prime.”

To anyone who was offended by a post or posts by Bodie{donkbusta444}, let me tell you a couple things. He is a very good friend, a great player and has a “unique” sense of humor, and that is exactly what it is…humor. He loves this league and virtually everyone who plays here. I speak from experience, know the man before you make accusations. An example, Boricua and I didn’t hit it off very well at first…we talked, went back and forth, but came to realize we may both be right. I respect him as a player and a person. But instead of running to the bosses, we talked. If Bodie continues NOT to post…well you all are missing out on a lot. Bodie has and always will have my total support.

Well said John! Indeed, B has a “unique” sense of humor, but I love the guy! I truly believe that whatever he said was NOT intended to offend anyone! I have no “filters”(to my detriment) but B is very conscious of others, great to be around and a very good player! I will go to bat for him, rain, snow or shine! As far as John and I are concerned we are “civil” he’s a good man and a very good player!

I am in total agreement with Bori and 12beat12.
For my tuppence worth I would like to add that Bodie is one of those players that add heart and soul to the Donks league.
In fact he livens up any table that he sits down at.
He was one of the first people to befriend me when I joined the league and has supported me ever since.
I have no need to mention here how good a player he is because we have all seen that.
The world has gone so pc over the last few years that it is now almost impossible to say anything without offending somebody.
Maybe we should all take a moment here to consider the fact that everybody has their own thoughts and opinions.
Just because you may not agree with those opinions, it does not make them wrong or invalid, just different.
In the same vein. If you don’t like somebodies humour, it does not make it wrong.
Bodie has a “unique” sense of humour. I don’t believe for one minute that he would ever set out to offend anyone.
