Thanks for your welcome!.. came in 5th (after leading for a bit) in first Silver Tournament evr … :-)… hehhheh … an A3 knocked me down a touch ( on a 33J board - on which i had AJ — that took me outta first…then later (at 5th) my KK push loat to AQ… ahhhhh … definitely a fun place to be with GOOD PEOPLE, GOOD PLAYERS !.. glad to be in this League ! … c u soon ! … Thank You for this Message…

I was in the Composite transfer spot until the last day. So close yet so far.
I am enjoying Silver, but it gets tougher every quarter.

I’m really lost for words, but I truly understand. You have the opportunity to take an adventure with your son and definitely you can’t be that. I always said that Family comes first no matter what. Rick, I will be happy to sing the praises of Tom @saratogatom. Tom is a big reason why I kept playing in this league early on. It can be a grind to see the same group of people over and over again. By accident, you start imagining its you against the table, which be fun if not so much of our lives is us against the world! Tom’s good sense of humor and poker (and you have to have both to strike the balance he does) always brings me back to reality. He makes the game a game again. All he asks in return: be friendly and don’t talk politics…haha. What he is really asking, though, is that we remember that while we can bring our lives to these games, we are also playing to get a bit of relief from the real grind. I appreciate that opportunity, and I thank Tom for ensuring that I get to experience that when he is at a table with me. Well deserved recognition, Tom. Thanks, John, for kicking off the love for Tom (despite the fact that his wife begged us not to give him the extra attention…I guess he becomes insufferable at home when we are nice to him, strutting around the house saying, “I got friends, yes I do!”)
