I had my 8th bubble victory of the quarter between Golden and HHOF leagues, to pretty much secure the bubble crown for the quarter, getting bad beat with AQ vs 99, flopping A66-9-who cares. Be sure to congratulate me if you see me at the heads up tables where I’ll be donating chips to all comers for the rest of the evening. You know, if we could get the participation back up over 40 players a night again, I’d be taking chips out of a lot more games. Think about it.

Hey, I bubbled tonight too – thinking of changing the term ‘bubble’ to ‘Puggy’s place.’
On the silver leader boards, there seems to be an inconsistency, or I am just totally reading incorrectly. It says only two players have played all 8 Wednesdays, but I am pretty sure there are more like ten folks who have been here every Wednesday night. Not sure this affects the standings at all, but if it’s based on total points, and some games haven’t been included BEFORE we got to best 9, it could be incorrect.
None of that affects the GREAT PERFORMANCE by MARLON, Rocket, and the five silvers who cashed. BRAVO!

You are correct that the Leaderboard tab reports this data incorrectly. The error is in the RawRankings tab. I have corrected the error and it should be correct for all three Sunday, Wednesday, and Composite leaderboards.

The (your name here) Open
In an effort to provide additional incentive for our members to play in the new 3pm EDT Wednesday tournaments, the league decided to name the subsequent tournament after the winner. I think all would agree that this has been a very popular and successful promotion. I want to emphasize that this has been promoted as “The (your name here) Open” and not “The (anything you want to name it) Open.” Changing our promotion at this time and giving one Donk preferential treatment to name the tournament anything they want to name it, would be disrespectful to our previous winners.
If anyone feels that this is unfair, please feel free to message me privately or post here on our Forum.

What, and not have a name like the cocomoko open - the best name EVER for a tourney? It isn’t broken, why try to fix it? And why open the can of worms on whether ‘new names’ are ok/acceptable/offensive/ etc etc.
It seems to be working just fine so far…except that I can’t seem to win one. A vote for status quo here.

Doesn’t look like the scores for last night got updated for most of the players in Silver. Also on the weekly data tab most players are showing 0 points for last night.

Update: Incomplete data from the last game was the culprit; I have corrected and re-checked.

I dont believe I 'made fun" of your proposal…I think I made light of how serious the topic of picking a name for a play money tourney had suddenly become. It’s not the Finding the Cure For Cancer Tourney. Clearly I underestimated it’s import and will recuse myself from commenting on this momentous event.

Well I don’t wish to get you angry…but if you DID find a cure for the virus I for one would let you name the tourney anything you wished.
As for being one of the cool kids and getting biscuits, that part went a little over my head. But hope to see you at the tables Sunday night.

Hey Goat,
I think your suggestion to let the winner name the next tournament has merit and should be given serious consideration — for the next promotion. You mention that Replay does this and it adds fun. But has Replay ever changed a promotion after it has started? I doubt it. Would Replay make a change to a promotion that was more than half over? I doubt it. Why request a change to the current promotion at this time when it has been generally accepted and enjoyed for over six weeks now and only four more weeks remain? I can’t speak for the tournament winners to date, but I believe most, if not all, of the tournament winners are proud to have had the next tournament named after them. I base this on 10 of 12 of them (I believe) have proudly displayed their winner medallion as their avatar. Some still do, weeks after winning the tournament. I don’t see a need to change the current promotion, but as I said, I think your suggestion should be taken into consideration for the next one.

Hello Ladycon. Congrats on the award you were recently given, by all accounts it was richly deserved and was enthusiastically supported by fellow donkers. I look forward to joining ‘proper’ and can’t wait to play poker against skilled players. Apologies if I jumped the gun with my posting but I never was a very patient man!. You would think that at 69 years old I would of learnt by now!
