I just emailed support with the details of the league (2.5k buy-in, PL, must show winning hand starting at 9PM ET on weekdays) asking what requirements need to be met and/or steps that need to be taken.
I would appreciate any suggestions as to what would be a good name for a newbie-friendly league.

I like that … but is it only for newbies ?.. How about Show or GO…lol … Poker Disclosure…Reveal Junction
No, it’s not just for newbies (or else I wouldn’t be able to play 
)
It’s for anyone wanting to play a chill, friendly game…but it seems to me it would be a good place for a newbie or anyone wanting to know more about the basic skills behind the game (bingo is frowned on)
It would be a very good place for newbies , you can learn quite a lot when seeing what hands win. Also a nice place to play friendly poker with players that you will get to know.
I got my 1st reply back from support and they said they can’t enforce the must show rule.
I let them know that’s not a problem and that the honor system works very well in your league.
They also warned me it can be a lot of work and I asked how so but haven’t heard back yet.
Perhaps you have some advice for me SS?

I just heard from the leagues organizer and it looks like a go.
A lot of questions and details of the league still need to be considered but before I go any further I want to make sure I have enough players.
What has been decided on thus far is a Texas Holdem with 2.5k buy-in, PL, and one must show their winning hand starting at 9PM ET on weekdays (or Mon, Wed, Friday depending on interest).
There are some posters here that haven’t accepted my friend request yet.
If you are interested in this league plz accept so that I may send you PMs.
As Sharon Smarty advised, I will be starting our own League Discussion should this league get started.
Also, considering one of her suggestions above, I’m also changing the name from Newbie Junction to Poker Disclosure so as to not imply it is for newbies only (while also reminding us one must show winning hands).

Okay my friends, I will be submitting the unanswered (yet inconsequential) details along with the names of all of you that are interested (required for membership registration) on to the coordinator/organizer this Monday.

One more thing while I’m thinking about it…I realize most of you use the same username here in the forum as you do at the tables…if that’s not the case for you please let me know via this thread or PM.
I just got a PM from a player that would like to join but is afraid he can’t commit to playing every time.
Please understand, no one is expected to show up every tourney (I’m sure I won’t be able to play every single tourney…life happens ).
It would be nice if you could play at least once per week but I wouldn’t even consider removing your membership unless it is apparent you are no longer interested (well over a month).
Well I might get some flack for this but then again it might be a big hit.
There is a very successful y-tube channel called “vehicle virgins”. It was started to educate younger people about what cars are available and what to expect as a first time car owner. The guy is crazy rich now so it doesn’t offend everyone.
Therefore my suggestion is “Poker Virgins”.
Okay, go ahead start throwing things at me I’m ready.

LOL, no I decided to go with Sharon Smarty’s suggestion, Poker Disclosure because the league is not for newbies only.
In fact I have some experienced, solid players that’ve PMed me wanting to be put on the list.
At least you got a laugh out of it…and I haven’t been hit by any low flying projectiles, yet anyway.
