Consider that you have small amount of chips and say 2-3 players from achieving chips. Who you calling to call? Nobody. slow play might actually get you some chips, This, is about only time I would slow play. Enjoy and figure out how to use players playing habits to your advantage.
If your talking about slow playing to see if anyone gets knocked out of a tournament so you can make the top 20 that pays, I’ve seen you use this tactic a lot when I’m at your table.

Well, some of it was laptop battery expanded and having lots of delay, so when you hit button then wait, wait then sit out. not fun.
Too bad Replay couldn’t install something like every time you fold within one second, you get one second added to your overall time so when you actually have a difficult decision you might have a little more time.
Of course once you have used up your extra time you’d be back to the usual amount of time.
Another thing I’ll say is when somebody chats “ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ”, that’s the time I’ll start playing slow since I know it irritates them so they might make poor decisions. Besides, it’s really rude!

I agree 100% about how rude it is to ZZZZZZZZZZZ post. Usually they are terrible players who also talk a lot of sh!t when they win like, “Too easy.” In time they usually go bust then slink away from the table.

Something to add to my idea above.
Shorten the original time bar by say 20%.
Have a 2nd time bar below that that collects your extra time that’s half the length, so in a sense you could save up to 120% of the original amount, but then at least then the time wasters wouldn’t be able to waste so much time. Perhaps make the original bar even 30% shorter, lol, have a good day.
They could add an extra time to it, but if they use the extra time and then just fold, they forfeit the extra time they could use for real decisions for the next 10 orbits.
I just think to myself in those situations, “Oh that’s fantastic, it means they are falling asleep so their chips are up for grabs”.
Why penalize players that use the clock ? You don’t know if they have slow dial up connections, old operating systems or wifi problems. Using the clock to your advantage is an art form just like bluffing in the game of Poker.

Often, they do it every hand, so I think most of the time they’re just being obnoxious.

The average players mindset regarding time wasters, most likely, will be focusing the blame on the
player.
The RP site has a certain percentage of blame.
Some might argue the RP site is 100% to blame for giving the time wasters an opportunity.
I think the best approach for the player is to understand patience.
Finding something else to do while playing RP is a key component.
The players that focus 100% on the game will become the most frustrated by time wasters.
The key is to decide to have a good experience on RP.
Don’t let someone else, like the time wasters, decide for you!
Then you, you alone, decide your own experience which will always be positive!

Exactly. I don’t know why people have complaints about the clock. Perhaps they are in a hurry to lose.
