I was curious as to why the 7 stud and 7 stud Hi/Lo MTTs have higher buy ins then most other games and that they offer no guaranteed prize pool. 7 stud is my game of choice but there does not seem to be much interest in the game. Thought maybe a lower buy in such as 2.5 and 5k with a GTD would encourage some players to try it.
I would like to see more players more interested in 7 stud tourneys as well, but currently there are three 7.5K ticket MTTs and one MTT available, daily. I don’t believe dropping the 7.5’s down to 5K would improve the interest that much and definitely not enough for GTD’s. Hopefully folks will show more interest in the future. GL at the tables
I’m guessing that more players have 100k tickets rather than lower denominations because of more players logging in almost daily. In my humble opinion the 100k’s should be used for buying into 7 stud and stud hi-lo as well as the other games now being serviced. Thank you!
I have no idea how tournaments are structured, I was suggesting adding a few lower buy ins like the 2.5 k and not removing any, there seems to be interest in the stud game in the free rolls so I thought maybe a lower buy in would encourage more play…just looking for some 7stud players.,.thanks for the reply
I think that is an excellent idea…thanks for the reply
It would be nice to see more players wanting to play the stud game (alan mains) in the rring games.
I love 7 card stud, and thanks Replaypoker.com for adding it to the platform. I remember playing the 7 card games in the pilot program and was very excited for it’s future. I think the problem is a combination of who wants to play at what time and at what cost. Thanks @HenryJay for bringing up the subject and look forward to hearing ideas to increase the attendance in the 7 card stud games that some of us, grew up with playing at an early age.
@HenryJay , been thinking about your idea and there is a solution, which may increase the interest in the game. Are you willing to Lead a League for a 7 card stud low buy in tourney? If so I will help get you started.
There are quite a few freerolls for Stud which is a nice way to get folks to try it and so are the Winter Games. I really would like to see a regular leaderboard for stud, I think that would also encourage play.
Please consider the idea of starting a Stud Low buy in League. I and am sure a lot of of others will help you, however their are no GDT’s in league’s. But good way to get interest in the game
Hi, I want to chime in here
7 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo MTTs do not have a Guaranteed prize pool, but they all have an Added prize pool.
2.5K buyins have 25,000 chips added, 7,500 buy ins have 75,000 and the 20,000 buyins have 100,000 added. Those chips are on top of what is collected from the players.
The average for the 20K games is between 25 and 30. We would need a bit more interest before we could launch much bigger games, but it is always open to review from our side.

I have added 7 card stud to one of my leagues , one day a week , I am hoping that players will like it and give the MTT’s a try.
