Play money poker …a few people on here want to learn and improve their game but there are way too many poop flinging monkeys for that . Bingo klowns are what you get with free play money .
Yup , was 1st in a tournament and lost in a couple hands …aces lost to K 9 o …i lose a lot of hands raising big with pocket aces
Well, ALL-IN with 6-2 is a bingo bet but a random shuffle can produce some decidedly odd outcomes. The worst possible starting cards are 7-2, suited or unsuited. A 7-high flush or straight is pretty useless so I always toss 7-2. Did it one night and the flop was 7-7-2. For a period thereafter if I was ahead I would call a 10 or 20 opening bid while holding 7-2. Won a couple of hands with sets but it’s a pretty worthless holding. The actual odds on 6-2 vs A-K is actually only 66.2% to 33.1%.
I never go ALL-IN preflop even with AA let alone AK (suited or unsuited). I think you get a better chip return by a more modest open with AA and a look at the flop. And there is nothing more frustrating than opening big with AK and losing to a pair of pocket duces. Actually, a pocket pair of duces has a roughly 52.43% edge over A-K.
Precisely.
Watch the big boys (and girls) sometime on You Tube. Although they are supposedly playing with their own real money, some of the moves are seemingly crazy. But beleve me, when a Tom Dwan or Mike Matasow does something like that, it is done after many hours of playing against certain players. Oftentimes, Daniel Negraneau knows with some degree of certanty exactly what his opponent has!
I recently watched an episode where Phil Ivey, holding QQ, 2-bet, then 4-bet pre-flop and finally called the 5-bet. The board was non threatening XXXXX, and the 5-better bet $250,000 on the river. (now, what could he have besides AA or KK?)/ Ivey, after a lengthy thought process, called and took down a $1 M plus pot. (The opponent had AK)
what his opponent has!
You are correct on the 7-2 hand and I also have lost by folding them. But also have also lost more hands by folding 6-2, just because it always reminds me of the worst hand dealt lol.
ace king suited against 6 2 unsuited is 68% against
ace unsuited king is 65% less than 1 chance in 3 (lol almost) so there is no big problem except the repeat repeat which comes up often, that’s where I don’t agree with das 32343 of which I find the response vulgar and mediocre in finding that you should look elsewhere you can still derive a certain learning and pleasure from the site as well as a knowledge of yourself … stay smiling and forget das32343 an I know everything
Hey pal… why u pickin’ on me??? (jk) I think you misunderstood me. Peek was complaining about the “algorithm” rewarding bad play and I just pointed out that if someone does not believe the shuffle is random why would they play the game here??? The most important part of the “algorithm” is the shuffle and deal. If the shuffle is random then can be no “rewarding”:
a random shuffle and the order of the cards in the deck set before the deal means that winning with 6-2 is just a random occurrence. A bingo player getting his bingo. I will play against that player all day and every day because I believe (and experience has taught me) good play wins out in the long term. Maybe the player was on a streak. Who knows. We all know it happens… days when you cant seem to loose, and of course the opposite… days, weeks, months when you can’t seem to get a decent hand and/or every time you have a good hand someone always has a better one. That’s poker… Whatcha gonna do? I was certainly NOT telling Peek to go somewhere else and I am pretty sure Peek understood that. I like Peek, I would never do that. It is pretty nice of you to defend Peek, I appreciate you, thanks. Bonne chance at the tables… (no all in preflop with 6-2 now, OK). lol
Hello buddy, I don’t blame you more than that. She asks herself questions and doubt is healthy.
And you tell her that she shouldn’t play here so go elsewhere. I have no doubt she will do it if the desire dictates. But I don’t think it’s healthy to tell him. So I’m just advising him not to listen to you but I assure you I have nothing against you.
Looking forward to meeting you. lol we will make an ace king / 6 2
PS I correct my error I put less than 1/3 I should have written 2/3 and the less was for fun yes 65% it is not 66.33%
Welcome to replay!
I believe it’s random, but still so many bluffing wins on the river, and ridiculous flop wins. Much more than the other free site I played on. Sometimes it feels like the algorithm could be tweaked away from those who spend a lot of $$$, because my math brain says it’s not adding up. JMO and experience. In the long run, Replay is the best, and it’s only my “bathroom” thoughts on the subject at hand. I’m quite content here. That is life in our culture, right? He who has the most gold wins. meh
I have lost KK pre flop with ppl calling All in with J9, 94 and QQ with 104 off outs and AA with 42 atleast some 15 times … And most of them in 200K tournaments. I don’t know if it’s random or algorithms.
