Another chance for me to get this to the top of the Forum page.
There was a question about length of Team name.
It looks like we have quite a bit of leeway, but I am going to say 25 characters, including spaces, is a reasonable cap. If some one comes up with an absolute belter which is slightly longer, I might allow it.
It depends on where you are located. With VPN, one never really knows anotherās location these days. I guess one could use their cellphone or Google it. My phone has a world clock feature. I see your country flag is the Netherlands and using my computerās AI feature this is the reply.
Me:
what time is it in the Netherlands when it is 3 pm in New York
Copilot
When itās 3:00 PM in New York, itās 9:00 PM in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Netherlands is 6 hours ahead of New York, so thereās a significant time difference between the two cities. If youāre planning a call or meeting, keep in mind that 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in New York corresponds to 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM in Amsterdam, which are usual working hours there.
I have added a 2. time zone to my Windows 10 clock, US ET:
Sometimes i need it. Right click to the time, āchange date/timeā in pop up menu, and you can add a time zone. And: Europe has 4 time zones. Changes on summer-/winter-/daylighttime are not on the same date.
On Windows start button you can find a clock tool too, but you can there only add a city, not a time zone.
Iād like to submit a suggestion for next yearās RTC. Offer a different type of game for the first four Qualifying Games and then keep the remaining games NL Holdāem.
I think the Qualifying Games should be but not necessarily in this order:
NL Holdāem
NL Omaha H/L
Pot Limit Omaha H/L
7 Card Stud H/L
Some players are specialists and others are generalists. Btw, I really like PLO H/L but I can play all of the above. Just donāt offer Royal as an option. Different offerings will be similar to the annual RPOS series which highlights player poker skills.
The monthly Marathon games show that the NL Omaha H/L is a popular game here. The other suggestions are just to offer some variety and a display of personal poker skills.
Maybe you can conduct a Poll and consider it and whether others think this will be a improved format.
Agreed, I really like this idea. The only drawback I see is that relatively new players shy away from the non holdāem games.
We could implement a mix of games where one player always gets holdāem, another gets 50% holdāem and the third gets 50% or less holdāem.
The knockout stages might still have to be all holdāem, unless there is a call for āall roundā RTC games. Changing the format in the middle of the series could be seen as inconsistent.
