While a mix of poker players at the table would likely be the most fun and best way to improve your own skill level, if you had to choose only one type of player at your table, which would it be?
What skill level of poker player do you prefer to play against?
Better players than me
Worse players than me
A similar skill level to mine

Do you want to be challenged? Would you prefer an easy win, or are worse players too unpredictable? Don’t forget to reply sharing your reasoning for a bonus entry!
I’ll draw at least ten winners on July 22nd – or many more depending on participation. I’m looking forward to seeing the results!
I don’t really mind who I play against, as having fun at the tables and playing with good natured players is more important than the skill level. I have chosen play with a similar skill level to mine simply because I would not presume to be better than the majority of nice players shere.
I would always prefer players better than me; one must be challenged to become a better player. Finding those games can be an adventure. There is a social aspect here as well, where friends just get together and play. In the lobby or the private league section, players gather with like-minded interests in game structure, eventually getting to know one another. I do spend most of my time in those places. They have a mixed level of skill.
Thankyou Raln, I put a song on the forum a few days ago, which I think you will like, he’s looking quite frail now, but still has the voice
Sorry off topic
As long as everyone is playing to win and not playing dumb then I’ll have fun. But honestly I’d rather be at a table with players that are better players than me. I wanna be the best player I can and to get better you have to play against better competition and learn.
I prefer a similar skill level to mine as i am not a fan of bingo or raising huge on every single flop. Its just annoying and you cant learn from that.
I believe the best way to improve your game is to face competitors better than oneself, though you may be less likely to win as often as you would against lesser players you will learn more. The payoff is down the road.
I still learning how to play poker; learning from people who play better than me. Not professionals, they are too good; know all the formules for odds and so on and they can calculate very fast
On the other hand i like to play with people with similar skills; mostly friendly and i like to know them better. Frequenty show up cards and congratulate them if they played better then me.
Its fun
