I am a senior (75 years next month) and started playing poker for money back in 1965 in private games at my girlfriend’s house.
I started wining small money pots for the 1st month or so until the parents decided they got tired of giving me all their change.
I then entered college and found a lunch time poker game in the cafeteria and again was lucky enough to win several dollars each time I played. That was great because was a quarter a gallon and let me make trips to the coast with that money. I now play with a group of younger men (compared to me) and hold my own.
I play tourneys in Vegas when I get the chance and hold my own for placing in the money spots.
I just love the competition and my ability to continue to use my brain in the games.
