What percentage of my bankroll should I play?

I knew I was doing something wrong because I react out of fear, I may have a too “superstitious” approach to the game, I imagine that if luck came once, it may not come back and that I will therefore lose everything again.

It’s irrational, but I have this need to leave the table when I win a big pot.

I have the same irrational reaction when during a previous hand cards have fallen, if I have the same cards I think they will not fall again and I sometimes fold hands like AJ because before there had been AJJ on the flop…

Cards have no memory, and if I win there is no reason why I should not win again.

Recognition is the first step. If you’re aware a given thought process is illogical, you can do something about it. We all have stuff like that that keeps us from playing optimally, and we fight it every time we sit at the table <3

Unrelated: take detailed notes. A lot of players don’t do this, and it’s a huge leak:

For Example

I guess the chat I typed didn’t send  but I tried to type, “my notes say I should just shove over your opens with AJ+”

I’ve played enough with SAMHOP to know he will open very wide, and continue very wide. So 77 here felt like JJ

You are right about the recognition, I made a lot of mistakes at the RPOS XII High Roller Showdown tournament (happy that it was not a R&A  ), I could have done better but I still made it to the final table, it was my first big tournament and even if there is room for improvement I know I am capable of it and it is a huge boost.

Just play where you feel comfortable at and have fun (not real money). Also, do not worry about people with many chips, MANY buy them:)…P.S. Take advantage of ALL of the promos (especially the 100k weekly free ticket we get for just signing in, it has made me millions of chaps ).

I’ve only been on this site for 4 days, I only get 2.5k per day, on the other hand the rookie tournaments are a good way to get chips, the level is lower there.

Thanks for your advice, I think it’s full of wisdom

When I started it was 25 % for me at most anyway , once you get to the place of a couple of million it no longer matters, just the kudos of playing and winning or losing against some fine poker players, and there are some clever folk here just like money play, but you have to get there and that would be the challenge
It is not as hard as real money play, the only way you can get that vibe is play for real money, but at the lower buy in’s its the same as here  safer here unless you really are a computer and maths god,
Took me a couple of months of 2500 to get there, once your passed that, easy, good poker. Watch out for big dogs ) and guys/gals with numbers
If you like the site buy someone else some chips, just to support it
