Unfortunately that is not how the tickets system works. Tickets can not currently be combined with other tickets as a total amount to play in a higher buy in tournament or game.
That would be a great option and something that has been brought up numerous times. Unfortunately not yet but I can see it happening in the future. Trading up or down is a good incentive.
