My luck on the tables is so bad today - if I suddenly lost my hair and went bald I would definitely win a comb!!
Football playoffs today:)
For those devastated by the fire in Cali, from Kit again…
I’m sorry for the irreplaceable
the photographs the worn hand me downs that carry each generation
the little pieces of your life that only your heart could name
what’s gone cannot be measured in embers
the loss is as vast as the sky tonight
but home is not the walls or the beams
not the roof that once held you safe
home is the hands that hold yours now
the hearts that beat beside you
the voices calling you back from despair
it’s the love that stayed through the blaze
unshaken and unbroken stronger than the fire
and though the ground is blackened and bare
it will bloom again
life will find a way
and so will you
each seed holds a promise
each day a chance to grow what was lost
you are still here
and in you
the roots of something beautiful remain
1940’s
This guy below must be related to WC Fields
The toddler that W.C. Fields famously kicked was Baby LeRoy. Baby LeRoy, whose real name was Ronald Le Roy Overacker, was a child actor who appeared in several of Fields’s films in the 1930s, including “Tillie and Gus,” “The Old Fashioned Way,” and "It’s a Gift."1
In “The Old Fashioned Way,” there’s a memorable dinner table scene where Baby LeRoy throws custard in Fields’s face and yanks on his nose before Fields kicks the toddler in the rear end. This moment became quite iconic and is often remembered as a highlight of Fields’s comedic style1.
Did anyone else see this yet. I think this is one of the greatest historical finds in Decades, maybe even the last century. This is for real too. Coming from National Geographic you know its the real deal. Cool.

Sue, I am so very very sorry for the loss of your husband and also for your friend that was taken by cancer. So heart-breaking. My prayers go out to you, your family and fiends to have the courage to endure this. God bless you and keep you safe,

First it was one of our sons and a best friend whom we lost… Then our daughter in law found out she had cancer. Thanks so much for your kind words. God Bless…
Dear Sue, My apologies for the errors in my condolences. Poki did say your son but I saw another say your husband. Apologies to your husband! Prayers for your daughter-in-law as well.
Never sorry, the message was wonderful, and much needed. Thank you
