She is quite a gal, I have been following her adventures for quite a few years now, her original motorcycle, was a Royal Enfield Himalayan which she rode all the way from India back to the Netherlands on her own, which is a feat and a half, she has went from strength to strength and I doff my cap to her, definitely worth a look for anyone. I do worry about her sometimes though, a couple of Nigerian policeman were publicly chastised and sacked recently for trying to extort her for cash while she was travelling through Nigeria, not a girl to mess with.
Good shout out Excaliburns
Another admirable solo female traveller was Anne Mustoe, she was a rather portly retired English head mistress, who on a whim decided to cycle around the world following historical routes, she had no cycling experience could not even fix a puncture and was not fit, she reasoned she would get fit on the way. I read her book " a bike ride 12000 miles around the world" it’s a great read.
She sadly passed in Aleppo, Syria in 2009, aged 76 on yet another cycling adventure.
My friend Sharon has made me a few new pics. She even has my 13, Elvis, and my grey hair. Love them. Thank you.
