First of all thank you it makes my work easier since you have already written the manifest.json file and you gave me the precise steps to create the extension
It looks more or less like what I saw in tutorials yesterday and in the end it surprised me that it only takes 3 files !
Then I put the 4th priority in first position, partly because I read the suggestions and they fit with what I want.
Being able to bet in blinds seemed to me from the beginning essential to complete my tool, that’s why I worked on it for a week.
However, I put it in last priority because I was dying to find out how to achieve it , so I estimated that in terms of time/result it was not crazy so I told myself that I would do it at the very end if I had the courage. Plus it required a massive amount of tests on the tables 1/2 which must be annoyed to have a player as slow as me, yeah because not only is it infamous to program but I was forced to sit at the tables and wait for my turn to bet to test my code.
But now that I think I know how to create an extension of my program I would like to code this big feature before putting my program on chrome web store so that we can really download a complete tool, especially since I found some motivation to work on it again.
Indeed I spent my afternoon looking for other tracks for this feature and I found 2 interesting ideas to unblock my situation.
phew I almost forgot about this project, I’m in internship until June 25th and the rythm is increasing, lately I had a lot of work.
However I worked a lot on the 4th feature and I centralized the exact problem I have to solve :
I have to control more or less the user’s keyboard (I won’t go into details why) and for security reasons on today’s browsers it’s extremely difficult so I have to go through some twisted plugins that didn’t work so far.
I think that my next step is to put the extension on chrome and to abandon for the moment the 4th functionality even if it is important, I tested too many things with each time a failure it is partly what demotivated me.
After the end of my internship I’ll get back to work, sorry for not giving any news
I also hate it when Real Life™ gets in the way of stuff I want to do!
We obviously have other people (at least one!) who are competent in JS so, when you have time to work on this project, it might be worth starting another thread asking for advice/assistance if you remain stuck.
Good luck with the internship, keep up the good work there.
