The fairness debate

Been 2 days since my last post and as expected no response from the staff. I mean how can they respond to proof about the errors (unfairness) of their site. It is still happening, replay hand 94140011 and then replay the previous hand, I am the big blind in both hands. Even more proof of players being marked.

It is a known bug for a long time, and a very annoying one, when new players at the table get a seat between the player with the dealer button and the players who pay the blinds they should not get cards or the dealer button. With this bug it happens that players get the blind twice in a row. And i agree that is very frustrating and this bug must be solved. The tech-team was working to fix it already, it is high on the to-do-list, the team is small and some other problems had a higher priority.

It has nothing to do with marking players, but this bug must be solved as soon as possible.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Not Fair…. Last couple of days, All I get is useless cards, very bad hands. What kind of program you guys uses guys(Replay Poker)? This is totally crazy. Grrr…

That happened to me as well. Horrible stretch but then it came back on again and I made most of my chips back. I rarely or never play super aggressive so I get treated that was as such. I have 180,000 points which is doodle squat but I have fun and really just try and enjoy it when you have a great hand and can crush one of these all in worms who just make sitting at a table horrible. You work into a hand trying to sort out people at a table and what they have and this ■■■■ or 2 goes all in with J 9 or bets into a straight which he hits on the river.

Rigged ? Probably, but probably not as well. Everything seems to be a conspiracy in this day and age of forums and blogs/vlogs

It’s like Bigfoot, I think

As I read into the “Experts” play books they ALL describe this phenomena of going through zones and extended periods of time where you just can’t get ANY cards. Or when you do and some hump puts all in on an inside straight draw and he/she ■■■■■■■ hits it. When all you did was bet well all along only to see it all be given to some punk who thinks he is now Gus Hanson

It’s painful but it is also a FREE CHIPS format (mostly) which allows people to go in EVERY HAND and see what happens.

They are many who leap up and down the points ladder from millions back to zero and back up to 6 figures plus again through the aggressive, all-in approach.

There are more f them than you think and they can take your "I have studied really hard/practiced/played a ton) skills and piss you right off to no end.

Think about that group of people. There are lots of them and it would be interesting through a poll to see how much of a percentage they real are.

What say people ?

In every tournament and at every table the players with the worst ranking are always winning either at the start of the tournament or at the end these players just win and win with crazy hands I have seen one player win 5,6,or 7 hands in a row, never see this at Poker Stars. I don’t think this is fair to the players with good rankings to lose to these players who are getting help ( and they are}from replay. You say all games are fair, no they are not and I will not stay much longer. The fun is gone,I am sick of having these players get help, why do you want to help them, let them learn the game without your help.

I appreciate your frustrations, and I don’t want to be a broken record, but we build this site with fairness as our no.1 priority. When we built Replay we created a poker site, we’d want to play on, and I can tell you straight off the bat, that means 100% fair, otherwise what’s the point. It’s the absolute minimum you should expect from a poker site. We’ve never and never will offer anything but the fairest hand of poker out there. Now our job is to walk the walk, and do as much as a we can to be more transparent about the hard statistics of the site so you don’t have to just believe our word, but can see it with your own eyes. We’ll be doing more later this year to take a lead amongst poker sites to open up the books and give you unprecedented access to the data we collect and how we randomize the cards and shuffle them, but ensuring at all times the security of the site is maintained.

Still can’t beat a top 500 player with AA, KK openers when I go all in. Every once in a while it would be nice to see the odds pay off in my favor instead of watching said ranked player hit the turn or river to eliminate me. EVERY TIME…Or some jerk who goes all in with 83 off and hits 83 turn and river. 90% OF THE TIME. Very frustrating. Replay Poker, you taught me how to play the game but, I still think the high stakes players are rewarded because they buy chips. I’m not afraid to lose and take my lumps because I can learn from those mistakes. It’s hard to play when you know you’re already beat. I play on because I love the game and maybe one day it will give me a small edge when I play in Tahoe. I think I can make my $100 last more than two minutes.

Actually, only about 25% of players in the top 500 have ever purchased chips. Those 25% we’re grateful to as it enables us to offer the other 75% an ad-free poker site.

This not the first time and It won’t be the last. Just for fun on a free ride tourney. Only two players when the game starts. Me and a player ranked 500+. This player, as it turns out holds 84 off openers and flops 567 rainbow for a straight and I lose. Really. The very first hand and the player keeps 84 off and flops a straight. I get the idea. Over and over and over. But I love the game and will continue the beatings fair or not. That tourney I must have played 100 hands and never saw a JJ+ opener but, I sure as hell got 83 off two times in a row. 39 off, 93 off twice in a row, 55 twice etc. AA twice in at least the last 600 openers with a 1-1 w/l record and I watch other player make $$$ on AK, AQ, big slick opener after opener. Where do these people get their cards. It’s gotten to the point where I get 1010 and I want to fold because I know I don’t stand a chance and will be beat on the river over and over again. Pretty defeating knowing everything I try ends up a loser.

Cool. Thanx for the info and I appreciate playing for free. I really do…

I agree. You are either “on” in which case you increase your chip count. Then its others’ turn to be ‘on’ and you sit, folding hand after hand after hand. Replay poker has become about as exciting and enjoyable as watching corn grow.

I don’t believe the game favors players based on rank, it’s based on identifying the “random” (heavy sarcasm here) cards. Read the comments in this section…they all say the same thing. Players with the most experience on this site know what cards are coming (of course this is not ALWAYS true, but often enough to chase cards they NEVER would in a cash game). Anyone that plays live poker for real money knows what random truly is. Bad beats happen, coolers too, but don’t expect this site to play like “real” poker until or unless Replay Poker decides to change their “random” card generator.

Still haven’t seen AA (reminder, odds are 121:1) opener in three tourneys. But I’m having no problem picking up 22, 33, 55, or 63 off twice in a row. Trips get passed out like candy but, just not to me. Got KK once and it turned out a loser. I’ve learned just to play to get experience, and that’s cool with me now that I get what’s going on here.

Be careful when you complain. I did it few weeks ago and Replay Poker has rigged the computer to recognize my screen name or computer id.

I had over a million in chips when I complained about the repeat number of same hands that I was getting and I have steadily lost since. Way too many bad beats to be a coincidence. I believe that Replay Poker has rigged the computer to punish me for speaking out.

Warning to all who complain! Replay Poker punish you if you complain. I complained a few weeks ago about the number of repeat hands I was getting. Replay Poker appears to have programmed their computer to recognize my screen name or my computer id so as to cause me to repeatedly lose. I can’t tell you the number of times I have lost a flush to a full house or a set to a straight, etc. The odds are astronomical that this would repeatedly happen. I had over a million in chips when I complained and I am now nearly bust. I am being punished for speaking out.

Last night I mock wrote a comment in the dialog box and immediately deleted. Call me frustrated. What I wrote was, 1,253 consecutive hands with out AA (Reminder, odds are 121:1). Guess what my next hand was? You guessed it…AA…and it held up when I raised the pot and everybody folded. Great! Luck? Fate? Odds finally kicked in? I think it was a Satelite 2K entry, about 50 players or so. Draw your own conclusions. And by the way. I reached the 2000 ranking and the cards stopped. I complained, they got worse. Like I had mentioned before. I use RR so thousands of hands and help make me a better player?

Sometime your the Hammer and sometimes your the nail.

Today 8/9/14 in sit n go tournament # 242005 9 players started of witch 3 players never played one hand and one of these players took third place. You say this player doesn’t get third place points or chips but the player who was playing the entire game gets nothing, yes i know

these players have that right to sit out but if they miss going around the table three times in a row without playing one hand they should be removed from the game.

absolutely

I agree that these games are rigged. If you look at the leadership board all the same players are winning big. I play the tourneys and always lose no matter what hand I got but when I say something I will win in the satilette tourneys and win a couple tickets back to back and than when I play freeroll or the ticket tourneys I got the first time ever to win a big tourney…Seems to me I only win with I complain and that is like once ever 3 to 6 months… So Rigged !
