Even that shoving K9 suited UTG, can be ok if your tight enough, have a good enough image, if players arent call stations, if players are passive, if your short stacked enough and your about to be zotted by the blinds again, etc. I hardly ever shove K9 suited UTG, but I have done it on extremely rare occasions, and usually successfully. There is usually almost always exceptions to almost everything, when it comes to poker.
Very good and extensive article, it has been useful to me. I usually play very tight in the bubble, so I will have to work on that.
The bubble is really a very important stage in any tournament, and thank you for taking the time to do it. But, you must agree that what we do at this stage largely depends on what kind of stack we have (that is, how ready we are to go through this insidious stage). You have pointed out mistakes, and this is true, but our behavior will largely depend on our airbag (on the size of our stack). With an average stack, we can act thoughtfully, monitor the behavior of others, and even bluff by taking the chips of those whose stack is quite small. But if we have a small stack ourselves? This is the moment where we need to pull ourselves together and overcome the fear of becoming a bubble. How often do people start playing the so-called slow game, hoping just to get up to MTT. This is annoying as hell and makes many people confused - as a result, we make a number of mistakes. Your advice is very good just in this situation - thank you for that.
