Sit & Gos

Sure Micki,
and if the new dashboard was used then not only would 3 SnGs be displayed, you still could add that quick play button…( luv those 1 xtra button ideas )

@Chasetheriver ,
So thats up to 45 ppl, and ONLY SNG Specific ??? are the defaults still valid for all MTTs ??
And very curious, why no 6th place add’d to the 36 people level ( or since there are no 36 ppl SnGs it was moot )… payout jumps from 5 to 7, why no 6 in there… Also since SnG & MTT are basically the same, what rational was used to juice up the SNG ??? Thanks tho for the replies.

Hey Micki, since SnG & MTT are both considered “Tournaments” we’ll need 2 buttons… 1 quick play MTT, and 1 quick play SnG… just cause its over the 1 SnG shown… its kinda for all 3, or might register you for the next MTT avail , if its not specific.

So using that new dashboard, its got 3 of each 3 types, perfect to add ur Idea to that with 2 quickplay buttons… ( post from me , with pic in “community forums” Oct 16th , “Here ya go Craig” ) … no prob adding 2 more buttons…

Ohh and @Chasetheriver
My above promo should reflect actuall payouts… so 6,18 & 9,27 would payout top 2,3 & 4,5… unless you advertize, that for that promo only, payouts have been “juiced a little”.

That brings me to why I ask’d and did all the math… looking @ when that “1 more person” enters, and the payout expands… thats averaging about 1 in 5.4 …

Replay standardizes stuff like “level 3 rule” which should work for all tournaments ( SnG-MTT ), so why not standardize payouts above 9 ppl, where its 1 in 4.5 … how that works is this way, (and it would solve something another person brought up in another thread about knowing payouts before registering) … above 9 players… in blocks of 9 … 5more adds 1 , then 4more adds 1… payout for 18 would be top 5 … so basically you’d add 2 places for every additional 9 players and specifically on the 5th and 9th additional player…

Make that the standard across all Tournaments ( SnG & MTT )… it does a few things Chase, by standardizing it, there are no peaks and valleys, everything it fair no matter how many entries… Next, for those ppl that say that Replay doesn’t post payouts untill MTTs start, since its for all tournaments, those ppl now have a simple formula to follow to figure it out themselves.

Yes and Mainly yes, but certain MTT may have an independent (but close to the standard) payout structure. The 150K daily Freeroll for example because it always pays Top 27, irrespective of numbers and Top 27 Ticket payouts are fixed in the 150k Freeroll Satellites for example.

The jump from 5 to 7 is because there are no 36s.

The payout never changes in a SnG because it always starts when a set number of players register.

don’t know if it’s a good idea at all, but maybe it can help if you wanna merge posts/topics to make it a standard color change, what i mean is this: topic 1 and topic 2 will be merged both into topic 1, give all posts that belonged originally into topic 2 red letters instead of black (another color can be done too of course). that way there is no confusion when there is some stuff that looks like it didn’t belong there because it is shown to not belong there in the first place. and there is also no confusion in the way that all posts are spread in different topics.
hope this helps, yiazmat.

9:30 CST That is absolutely correct, logically… (why is there not a hallelujah emoji? I need it right here…) Since there’s only one quick play button now, ring games by default seem to get most of the new players. If our goal is to increase SnG play, then adding just one that defaults to the SnG accomplishes that goal :sunglasses: It also gives the player better odds for the chips.… And protects them from a two hour battle :scream: without their fore knowledge.

Adding new buttons really doesn’t accomplish much in and of it’s self, except giving people something to push, unless there is also an accompanying description like on the get chips page that I posted earlier. Too bad we don’t have hover help, in which a window pops open to describe the item when you stay over it for over several seconds.

That’s just my original take… I just got up. Let me mullet over (:joy: love what dictation does) and I’ll post again in a couple hours… i’m going to investigate and see what the quick play MTT button does right now…

11:00 am CST OK… more observations…

Rearrange from L to R, $ >> $$ >>> $$$

As currently displayed, the Dashboard does the opposite. It dispalys highest entry option on the left, then mid entry, then lowest on right… or $$$>>$$>>>$.

  1. This arrangeent is counter intuitive for Roman character languages and others reading L to R, or 99% of known languages…
  2. It makes it cumbersome for a new / low bankroll / low bankroll management / low entry player to sort out, and may cause them to enter a game with 1) much higher than necessary entry, 2) much more experienced players, and 3) much longer concentration required!!!

Add Quick SNG, Quick MTT play buttons

Yes, add both bottons. Deferr to the entrylevel player by giving the L prime spot to the SNG for the higher odds / shorter game.

With both implemented, it might look something like this…
Whadda ya think, Sarah? Sharron? Craig?? Chase?? Team?

Exactly!
Do you like the part about putting SNG in L position for preference?
Lowest entry also to left?

Using that logic, Torunament should be on top!!! lol With lowest SNG on top left

SO I THINK YOUR LEFT TO RIGHT ARRANGEMENT IS MUCH BETTER!!! Can I steal it & play a bit?!?

One more coming now…

Up, Down, Left, Right doesn’t really matter but yeah, I see what ya mean there…

( After doing this 1 cause of Craig & my chat, I am building quickly a library of page re-do’s )

That looks awesome and might just do the trick to increase players.

Just wait Sharon, I will release my new pages when I get done with the current page I’m working on… and yes with Replay already re-doing stuff its all in vein, but ya know… bordom does strange things to ppl.

Hmm, I guess I had discuss’d 2 other chg’s, I guess I shudda not just blasted out a page with quickplay buttons, if I’m still gonna make the chg discussed elsewhere… all that matters is how pertinant to the SnG discussion…

Micki, I am not a fan of any quick buttons myself, just like when I sit @ a table I manually buyin my amount, not the quick amount it tries to give me. So I guess thats why I didn’t think before to add them… Just think… you quick play a MTT, and who knows what it will enter you in, roflmao… ok, that button might be unnecessary ( MTT quick play )… I’ll have to think on that awhile…

But after you mentioned that it was actually driving usefull traffic, then heck yeah its worthwhile.

Selecting SNGS

Yup… many options…
Freeroll listed - No Freeroll Games.
Tickets listed - No Ticket games…
image

Suggestion: Add SNG Freerolls, Ticket SNGs for 27 or 45 players.

After selecting “All Tourneys” Button from Dashboard

This is also the Default from the ‘Lobby’ link in the top banner
image image

Current criteria arrangement gives preference to MTT as Right/Default tab, and selects next MTT as default
image

Suggestion:

Change Default Criteria to Either

  1. Sit & Go Tournaments tab, next game (change tab title to Sit N Go Tournaments for consistancey) or
  2. Players Most/Last Used (if possible)

Micki, a lil overboard with the pics???
Micki, you just said freerolls and tickets …

Do you now see how that tied into my Promotion Blowout Bonanza, right before things got wierd ??? That Promo, had so many things neatly tied into 1 huge Promo…

It had freerolls, it had micro payouts along the way, it had sattalites, weekly step up format, ummm what else … hmmm… it was perfect to attract & train a whole new crop of happy SnG players, expose them to many concepts along the way… and the sneaky part, was that it was really a format where all the sharks around here would not just bully the newbs… mainly because it was a low stakes format… not worth thier time, really…

That was just something to keep the SnG lobby full(er) around the clock… more promos down the line to keep folks interested, but ya gotta get the lobby full 1st.

Yup – we are thinking along the same lines for sure…

this is the kinda brainstorming the forum is here for, but chat be nice once/while…
I just don’t use any Yahoo-Aim chats anymore…

I do with we could get like 10 ppl , all that have a stake in SnGs getting better, in here bouncing ideas around so we can get this handled… :tada:

So , for those just comming to this thread, please read back thru the whole post please… lots of good stuff… but here’s the reader’s digest version of what we got so far

More promotions, possibly a huge re-launch promo for the SnG lobby
Add Freerolls & Ticket SnGs to the mix
Add Micro stakes tables below 500
Add quick play options on the dashboard
#1 tweak need’d … add “hide empty tables” button for SnG Lobby ( for Lag/playability issues )
Increase visibility of SnGs on the dashboard
6,9,18,27 ppl SnGs pay the best, port players to 6/9 ppl tables, 1 & 3 table formats ( for newer players, to get them used to SnGs )

now what did I forget, well its all up there… it makes sense to read thru too…

Ohh I see whatya mean now… well that comes from 2 things… 1. Tournaments are ( SnG - MTT ) combined ( as they should be ) 2. Because there aren’t 2 buttons, staff had to pick 1 of them, they picked MTT lobby.

Thats why when I did my 1 page layout , no scrolling, re-do …of the Dashboard… I gave all 3 types of games equal floor space.

Since I never used the “quick buttons” all I know is that whatever lobby I was last on, when I then click the “lobby” tab, it takes me back to whatever lobby I was last on… but thats kinda different… but yeah, staff had to pick one, and they didnt pick SnG… lololololol

I guess Chase/Fizzy, no new entries, so maybe something here might peak interest to staff, topic can always be revisited again… as most do get reused…
