Introducing the new Account Summary feature! It’s now incredibly easy to see a quick overview of your account, including your rank, tickets, and some of your most recent transactions. Don’t tell sprouticus, but we used her account as a guinea pig. Here’s what it looks like:
To see your own, simply click on your chip count at the top of the page – after you’re done reading the forums, of course.
You might notice some new buttons on your Dashboard today – the All Tourneys and All Ring Games buttons! In an on-going effort to make your Dashboard a bit more usable and convenient, these buttons should help everyone find games a little bit more easily.
Tired of being xxpokerxwizardxx? Now you can claim all the chips as xXPokeRxWizarDXx!! If you’d like to change the capitalization of your username, you can do so right here. Remember, everybody gets one, so choose wisely.
Good luck at the tables! As always, if you have any comments or questions, we’d love to hear 'em!
We’ve made a few changes to private messaging over the years, and now we’ve made it easier to see who you can message. By default, that includes friends, staff, and moderators. Previously, the user experience for sending a message to anyone else was… a little luckluster. It should verify that you can send to your chosen recipient before you do now!
UPDATED FEATURE - Daily Bonus Pop-Up (Time Until Next Top-Up)
If you’ve ever wondered when exactly the Daily Bonus rolls over to the next day, we actually base it on the tournament lobby timezone, which is ET - Eastern Time (USA); and could be EDT or EST depending on the time of year.
Given that most players won’t be living in the Eastern Time Zone, we’ve added a little note to the bottom of the Daily Bonus pop-up to explain exactly when you need to come back in order to collect tomorrow’s bonus.
UPDATED FEATURE - Auto-Linking in Personal Messages
If you’ve sent your friend a link in a personal message, you may have noticed it’s not clickable automatically. That’s now changed. Any link you send a friend will automatically turn into a clickable link.
We’ve upgraded the options you have for updating your avatar. You now have various ways in which to update it, not just uploading a picture from your computer. The new ways are:
My Computer - Upload a picture from your computer like before
Link (URL) - Use any image url for your picture
Take Picture - Take a photo with your webcam!
Web Images - Search and choose from images online
Facebook - Connect your facebook account and choose an image
Instagram - Connect your instagram account and choose an image
In case you’re wondering how it’s done, it couldn’t be simpler. Go to you edit profile page and click the CHANGE button next to your current avatar…
Then an overlay appears on the page with all the options…
Thanks ohiobuckeye, scrolling through the various updates is a nice reminder of how far we’ve come.
We’ve got some big projects in the works, so if anyone is worried we’re focussed on trivial stuff, you don’t need to be. We just like to roll out little improvements here and there to improve the player experience. Each one might not amount to much, but taken together they help to move us towards our goal of building the best poker site online!
Thanks Reddy68! Emotes would be awesome, we did look into a while back but unfortunately to upgrade the flash client would be harder that it looks. We decided to wait until we switch to HTML5 next year.
A much requested feature, we’re finally ready to roll it out to the masses!
Although we’ve had player notes now for quite a while, you could only manage and view them from the main website. That made it cumbersome to keep track of things. Well, now we’ve made it much easier…
If you’ve already made a note about another player, you’ll see a new ‘note’ icon next to the player’s name at the table. If you click on that it’ll open the new ‘notes’ tab just below the table where you can view and edit the note.
We also make it super easy to add a new note. Either:
Click a player’s name to open their mini-profile at the table, then click ‘Add Note’ to show the player’s note and start writing!
Click the ‘Notes’ tab then choose the player from the dropdown below and start writing!
