I don’t think Replay can or will suddenly start offering real money games. I also imagine most people are on Replay because they care more about the game of poker and the community than trying to get rich. My concern is that might not apply to the new people who come in through casino dot org. That will be a gradual change though, if it happens, and isn’t likely to affect any existing leagues.
I’m not sure that’s accurate at all. It sounds more to me like casino dot org is just hosting the Replay site. I guess it doesn’t matter either way though if the site doesn’t change drastically, and it’s definitely too early to make a call on that yet.
but why do players need to prove their age? Is Replay a casino? I thought that for a casino to exist the company concerned had to pay out in either real money or prizes or a mix of both? According to “pokernews.com” it is suggested that Replay do not offer the chance to win real money or prizes this being the situation then how are Replay going to be advertised by casino.org? considering casino.org are not known to have any acquisitions at the moment. They have (until now) only advertised real money casino’s and as lihiue suggests are Replay players going to spend 5 minutes now flicking through pages of adverts etc just to get to the replay site or will we be able to click and play as we can now?
I’m not suggesting you’ll have to click through casino dot org to get to Replay. I think they already stated that wouldn’t be the case. I was just questioning the motivations of new players that might get introduced to Replay poker through casino dot org.
It also sounds like you will need to stipulate that you are over 18, but won’t be required to actually prove it. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a link to the casino dot org main page on Replay going forwards, or some other kind of promotion in the future, and I guess they don’t want to be promoting that to anyone under 18 without some kind of warning.
When will this happen? Also, can we play for real money there? I live in the state of Pa. and with the new dumb laws we can only play cash games on sites located in Pa.
To clarify, we will not be hosting any real money games, nor does Casino.org host them on their site. They review sites that do, and may have some special bonuses if you decide you’d like to go visit any to play. All country and state regulations apply when going to any of those sites. Because of the nature of their site’s recommendations, players must confirm they are 18+ before interacting.
Replay will operate exactly as it has been. It will look the same, you’ll access your free games the same way, and all options will remain available. Interacting with Casino.org’s main site is completely optional — consider Replay to be its own ecosystem there.
