Ranks not showing

Still no rankings showing. Why is this taking so long to fix?

also, ppl. play every minute they are awake on here (know a couple of them 2-nice ppl ) and with ALL of the free tournaments and promos, even a bad player can rack up the chips-just look at me-i play a little n maybe average player at best n in 3 years about 52 million–n i am BAD at hold-em, the main game here.

absolutely, that’s how I got all my chips - I just played a ton last year and didn’t make too many huge blunders

I didn’t buy my rank and it’s the single most-important aspect of Replay to me. I play here every day.purely to measure my ranking and try to improve it.

I would like to see the players rank again.

I think a better measurement for how good a player is can be found in the achievements. Mtt and s&g achievements speak more than the number of chips you have. In the gold achievements there is also a Poker Ace achievement for winning 10 mtts. If you look at the top players the majority don’t have this kind of achievements which makes you think most of their chips are bought.

I want to see the rankings again

if rankings are purely based on chips, what’s the point in trying. I’ve been playing 4 2 years and have never bought a chip and rank 4000 so should i improve my ranking by buying status ???

Rank is based solely on how many chips a player has. Players with 100million don’t buy chips but many other so. I don’t see why people focus so much on rank in a game with no cash value i could not care less what a persons rank is.Besides that with all the chip sales your rank goes higher not lower lol..I come to chat and pass time Most of my family are cash home game players and i use to play but they kept raising the stakes and for me the fun went away. The game became more cutthroat.I just think people here on a play money site to be soooo concerned about rank is silly to me.

Nobody with an appreciable bank is buying those chips. The people who buy chips and keep Replay afloat are the mediocre players with banks in the tens of millions. These players have reached a level where if they don’t consistently win, they can’t afford to play in the games they want. But many of them don’t consistently win. So they have to buy chips. Rinse and repeat.

Pretty much everyone in the Top 500, and certainly the Top 200, is just a reasonably decent player who has a lot of chips because they won a lot of chips from other players.

I hear this a lot, but think about it: there’s no money to be won here. That means there are basically only 3 reasons to motivate play:

  1. social stuff
  2. desire to learn the game/love of the game itself
  3. keeping score and trying to outdo other players

If I can’t pay my rent by winning on Replay, maybe my main motivation for playing is that sweet little dopamine hit from getting the number 1 next to my name.

But I agree with you: everyone should remember the goal here is to have fun. I forget that myself sometimes when I get too caught up in trying to be competitive!

WITH OUT RANKS RP is not the same period. All my friends for the last 10 years loved it for many reasons without it RP is not the same game we love. emphasized text*

Maybe calculating the rankings in real time is causing performance issues based on the number of players. If so, they should scale it back to run the update every few hours or, at worst, once a day at the least active time.

it’s my fault, I won too many chips and broke the server

I’m hoping that RP is re-evaluating the rankings to reflect skill level which everyone on here has been requesting and maybe include in the rankings a player’s better than average looks.
If anyone has been to a card or poker room, you should know what I mean.

The ranks need to make a comeback. Those who buy chips dont even make 1 percent of all players most likely so it doesnt make much of a difference in the rankings.

Also, during play i do check ranks as i’ve seen reckless play from 6 digit ranked players often. So u gotta be careful against them.

Yeah, maybe something like a tiered ranking system based on ring and /or tournament wins; as some players are exclusive to one; while others play both.

should not get points for buying chips but thats how they pay for free poker i suppose it dosn’t really matter in the end. i believe all hands are pre determind

I can tell you no hands are made and everything is random. I’ve been playing this site for over a year and it’s trained to me as a professional poker player. Just got first place in $1000 buy in tournament.
