So I was watching the Main Event for the PokerStars Championship Barcelona event today and there was a hand that caused a little controversy.
Leonard says to another player “You got it” then waits at least 10 seconds to see his oppents reaction before actually folding. I think it was an angle shoot. No penalty was issued by tournament staff. Below is the clip:
For those who may not know what Angle Shooting is here is the diffinition. “Angle shooting is engaging in actions that may technically be within the scope of the rules of the game, but that are considered unethical or unfair to exploit or take advantage of another player.”

It’s an absolute desperation play by the weaker player… Most extroverts that are very weak in their play try to pull cheap shots & stunts like this. Trying to talk to the other player in hopes of extracting enough information to call or fold… These guys are a dime a dozen in Vegas… Just one of the 100’s of typical wanna be wiseguys that’s in every card room. If they would spend half as much time and effort working on playing better cards, they wouldn’t have to resort to this stuff… If you use your chips correctly most of the time, you’ll get just about all the information you’ll need in poker.
Here’s another great quote I use all the time… and I’m not so sure, but it could be one of my Yogi Beara’s…
" You cannot win the pot every time you make a bet, but you sure can extract a boatload of information with just about every bet you make…
