Please STOP shoving and hope for the better!

Recently, I have played high stake poker in here and noticed something that does not make any sense in terms of playing poker properly. Chasing drawer and preflop raise is one thing. Some people just shove in without considering any cards or position.

Here is an example. I had A 3 suited. Other player in early position opens and I raised. He called back. Then I floped flush. The flop was Kh,Jh and one low card with heart. I bet and he raised. I re-raised and he called. Now, turn was complete brick and he bet again and I was bit nervous if he had something, but at this time flush was good enough so I bet large like 2/3 stack and he gone all in. I called. His card was 10 7 off suited. I have no idea what he was waiting for nor what he was aiming at. I could only think that he did not know how to play the poker.

There are things you need to learn if you want to be good at poker. I think Replay poker is a good place to actually put knowledge to test and it usually works. Recently I have won 2 first place and 1 third place in 1mil buy in. It was only 6 games I played. It all comes to learn when to fold, when to bet, when to raise. If you want to enjoy poker, please learn, study and practice to make a good decision when you are playing poker.

You are confusing poker with the amusement of online poker. Two different games if you have played either for awhile you know this. Or you will learn. Online poker has its place. Mostly to learn how not to play poker. And to develop patience and emotional control. With enough online poker experience. Your live game will become less stressful, more confident, easier and more fun overall .

He thought you were protecting something like AK or just bluffing, and tried to convince you he’d flopped the flush. I’m not saying it was a good or bad play, just like I’m not saying raising with A3s against someone who has opened from utg or utg+1 is a good or bad play. It depends on the player. From the way they played this hand, it was probably fine, but someone else could flat call you with something deadly and what do you do in the many more instances when you don’t flop the nuts?

Well, I have to say you are right in many ways. This game does not involve any real money. But I have to set my mind as any other game so that I can play properly and learn from it. If you don’t get stress from poker, you will probably loose money cause you handle hands lightly. I am just saying that if they treat this game to live game differently, they will probably do the same in live game as well.

Yes. You are right. But I just had to see what he had since I flopped A high flush. What I was trying to convey to people here is that there are few people who just want to have some fun and punt in when they are not suppose to is annoying and not looking good. That does not mean they are good or bad player, it just gives me a frown face every time.
